2009-2010 Football Season
Well from my team's point of view it's been a disaster. From putting in a stormer to finish 2nd last year we are going to finish out of the top 4 and no CL football next season.I go to every home league game and for the most part we've been ok,it's our away form that's been a disaster.i just hope we can hold on to Torres, who is a magical striker. on to other teams,Arsenal were destroyed by Barca last night (Messi
) and i've just had the pleasure of watching Utd dumped out of europe by Bayern
Can't stand Chelsea but it's them for the league i think.

Re: 2009-2010 Football Season
Oh man, Arsenal was absolutely ridiculously BADDDDDDddddddd last night. Seldomly have I seen such piss-poor defending. An absolute joke at this level.
Barca weren't even THAT good last night (Messi was great, Xavi was great, but the team didn't play nearly as good as they did in their first match against Arsenal last week), but Arsenal just fucked it up bigtime, tactically, and also just individual mistakes.
No english teams in the semi-finals, which is a shame. Chelsea once again had to cope with poor refereeing, just like last year. Liverpool have been poor all season. Man Utd seem to be doing OK but somehow their football or players hardly excite me.

I was there, the big BNB blackout of november, 2008. We lost many that day...

Messi was just amazing the other night
Arsenal did make some silly mistakes but we had half a team injured or something.
Surprised Bendtner often scores now

I heard Fergie called their team "typical Germans" when they apparently tried to get a Man U player sent off.

After being given a lifeline of sorts, Arsenal threw it all away in 10 minutes against Wigan.
Unbelievable

We're a cert for a Europa League place next season... little chance of catching Celtic for second place though.

I think we would have to play qualifiers. UEFA are tougher on Scottish teams.grim_tales wrote:If you get 2nd are you in the Champs League?

Re: 2009-2010 Football Season
United got rogered 2-0 today by Celtic. So we're third guaranteed.
The game was apparently the usual disaster. Ref sent off the wrong player. Gave a second yellow for persistant fouling when it was only the player's first after the orignal yellow. Funny how these kind of mistakes never happen to The Old Firm. One of our subs started limping 5 mins after coming on as a sub. Another tore a ligament and had to come off - and that was after our three subs had been used up. So we played the last (crucial) part of the game with 9 men. And in the dying mins Celtic got a penalty. Beautiful.
