AWJ? Has it got BBFC logos? There's your answer. Does it matter? You've got way too much time on your hands

A Warrior's Journey.
Yes it does have BBFC logos, and checking the menus AWJ does NOT appear to be on my disc, I'm just annoyed at getting a BD that has less extras than the DVD.

The US and AUS releases have both docs.
Lair Of The Dragon:
- Original 1973 Featurette (7:38)
- Backyard Workout With Bruce Lee (1:52)
- Curse Of The Dragon (87:27)
- Bruce Lee: A Warrior’s Journey (99:56)
But the Scandanavian release doesn't . See above link. Strangely no mention of the UK release.
Grim - where did you buy your copy?

Re: The General HD Releases Thread!
I got mine from Amazon UK (sold by it's Jersey Merchant "Indigo Starfish"), Mark.
Thanks BTW
I'd have thought both docs would fit on there certainly, that's odd. Maybe the UK BD is really a Scandi port or I got a different pressing or something.

Re: The General HD Releases Thread!
Grim: It's one blu-ray. Mark means "both discs" as in both of the DVD discs, are included on the one blu-ray disc. It will be on your disc, look again
.
Jeez, you do like psycho-analysing what each and every disc has
. Warner discs are all ports of the original blu-ray (usually the USA disc). They're all the same discs worldwide. End of... You know it's the UK blu-ray because it has BBFC logos. Where's the confusion?
p.s - I suspect the Scandinavia blu-ray is identical to. Even if it isn't, I suspect it's the same AV and just different extras.

Mark said "both docs" as in documentaries, not discs

Re: The General HD Releases Thread!
To be honest i'd be pissed if WJ was missing.I'm not one for extras but that one is a pretty significant one.does no-one else have the UK disc to confirm? i have the usa one,it's the fourth selection down under the Lair Of The Dragon sub-header.

WJ is a very good documentary imo, seems to be missing as it isnt under the heading you describe Sam.

Re: The General HD Releases Thread!
Ignore what I said above, it looks like I was referring to the UK HD-DVD. That's a port of the USA HD-DVD. I guess the USA BD is different to the Euro BD. I've got the USA BD too. My mistake Grim.
EDIT: The German BD is also missing it: http://www.cinefacts.de/blu-ray-review/ ... ralle.html. You can see (just about) only one documentary is mentioned. It even says:
"A true highlight is however some 88minütige documentary "Bruce Lee: The Curse of the Dragon" from 1993. Now missing a crucial part of the extras from the DVD Special Edition. "Bruce Lee: Der Flch des Drachen" aus dem Jahre 2000 fand aus welchen Gründen auch immer den Weg werder auf HD DVD noch auf die hier vorliegende Blu-ray. "Bruce Lee: The Flch of the Dragon" from the year 2000 was for some reason, always the way to HD DVD werder still present here on the Blu-ray. Schade, denn diese knapp 100minütige Dokumentation stand der vorherigen in nichts nach. Too bad, because this documentation was just 100minütige the previous second to none."
Agreed. It is a very good documentary, maybe even enough to sell the UK BD on eBay. How annoying.

Re: The General HD Releases Thread!
Very strange they would drop 'AWJ' from the UK/European releases. As it's a feature length doc with that brilliant GOD reconstruction it might be worth upgrading to the US or AUS release. It's the only example I know of from Warners where the Euro release isn't a direct port.

Re: The General HD Releases Thread!
I bet Australia got the USA disc because Aussie DVDs can be ports of South American R4 DVDs and whilst BD has no NTSC/PAL differences, it would be logical to assume the same distribution network was used again. It's the only example I know of too.Markgway wrote:Very strange they would drop 'AWJ' from the UK/European releases. Re: The General HD Releases Thread!
The UK one is now called Ultimate Hunter Edition too.
I guess it will contain the stuff that was left off the earlier BD from the 2 disc DVD.

They're all called that, by the looks of it. Yes but now in HD (or new HD stuff).

Fan-flipping-tastic. An easy purchase for me. I came so close to buying that Dutch BD but glad I didn't. I may even pre-order this one.

It's out in the UK in October.i imagine it'll be a port of the usa disc minus the digi-book packaging.

Hopefully cheaper too. I like the digi-book packaging but it will likely just take up too much space. EIV own the UK rights though, so very likely an identical release but gaudy cover art. Thanks btw.

Yes, the rights to most of the New Line films have reverted to Warner in the UK.
I'm not into fancy packaging so will wait for the cheaper UK release.
