Local councils have the final say on what certificate a film is given so it's entirely possible some overturned the original 12A. Mind you councils know eff all about the classification process. I believe one gave Billy Elliot a PG despite it's 42 f-words just because some parents wanted kids to see it(!)
Surely it's the BBFC who says if a film is Exempt? So effectively they're passing it too.
I think the company applies for an exemption based on the content so it's not subject to classification. The BBFC website will probably give you more detail on this.
It does look really good. The Australian Amelie BD is really good too (1080p24). It's missing the commentary unfortunately buy is otherwise well worth the money.
Thin Red Line is outstanding. Sure the start of Saving Private Ryan is impressive but the rest of the film lets it down. Thin Red Line is excellent from start to finish. It's a slow burner though, not one to watch when you're tired.
Malick's best work is is Badlands though. I've yet to see Days of Heaven and New World was such a let down, given the material. I've only seen the theatrical cut though.

$35.49 canadian = £22.30 surely? I've never seen any reasonably priced product at PlayUSA, do they end these special prices after 24hrs and ramp things back up to £20+ or something?
