Ohh how I hate the Oscars so much, still it will sell a few more dvds of them films above

Not seen Kings Speech, Black Swan, Social Network. Black Swan looks interesting.

Toy Story 3 dominates the list for me for one reason, an Animated film for best picture. Go on haha that would be quite a hilarious win :D

I love the film (nearly cried) but it will be odd to see it win.

I almost cried at the end as well :( IMO TS3 will win Best Animation for sure - HTTYD, while solid and well written (it actually felt more Pixar like than usual) isnyt in TS3's class.

Strange that Nolan isn't nominated for Best Director, but TBH, I really don't give much of a shit about the Oscar's anyway. Portman will probably win best actress though. Not sure if she deserves it cause I haven't seen any of the movies yet.

I think it's a definite dark horse, as the Acadamy could end up voting for the trilogy as a whole rather than as the last installment!

Yup all three films as a trilogy surely must pull the voters heart strings :D they did it with Lord of the Rings, so do it with TS3.

Up got a similar set of awards last year, but really I never expected it to win, at least TS3 sounds logical this time around. Mind you if it wins best animated, then really cannot see it getting Best picture as well.

Still what do I know  Forrest Gump won one year :notworthy:

Good point. After all, they did that with Return of the King to honour the LOTR Trilogy as a whole.

That's because Inception doesn't stand a chance of winning Best Picture.

By all accounts Inception is a director's film, whereas The Social Network is a writer's film, and yet David Fincher was nominated.

That's simply because The Social Network has a far greater chance of winning Best Picture (and thus Best Director to go with it).

I so cannot wait for Biutiful, really enjoying all of the director's previous films. It's out Friday.

Isn't it always? It doesn't make them bad choices. Toy Story 3 was obvious it would be nominated.

I've seen:

BLACK SWAN (Fox Searchlight Pictures)
INCEPTION (Warner Bros Pictures)
MICHELLE WILLIAMS - BLUE VALENTINE

These two (possibly others) aren't out in The UK yet:

THE FIGHTER (Relativity Media/Paramount Pictures)
JAVIER BARDEM - BIUTIFUL (Roadside Attractions)

The most potent natural psychedelic known to man is perfectly legal to buy, sell, and take, are you aware of that? You're one of those insufferable ignoramuses who thinks they have the moral high ground due to the law so can talk down to people, but the reality is you don't know what the fuck you're talking about
