I got an email back and it seems the replacement program is only open to people who live in the US/Canada. Bugger :(

:( . Is it out in The UK? And fixed? If so, I'd eBay it and rebuy.

Must've changed their policy then, because they replaced the framing problem POTC disc for international customers.

I doubt they're response would change if I asked again, and what they say is true :(

The email said:

Dear .........

Thank you for the e-mail regarding your Pinocchio Blu-ray disc. We are concerned about your inquiry and would like an opportunity to address this issue with greater detail.

The Pinocchio dialog issue was only found in product that was released in the US and Canada. Therefore we are only processing replacement requests for guests who reside in US and Canada.

We're sorry for any inconvenience this may have caused.

If you have any other questions, please reply to this e-mail.

Thank you.

So the USA Pinocchio BD has Mono and it's exclusive as usual right? Which for Grim/Mark discounts any other copy. I'm also correct in saying Pinocchio BD was released ages ago but Disney are only just re-issuing it? Is the remix on the USA BD also faulty?

Surely if they've fixed it, new copies are going to be fine? Tracking down a fixed copy (it sounds like Amazon aren't aware of it for example), will be tricky.

If they fixed it on new copies, I'll try Amazon.

Will buy as soon as it's a more reasonable price.

I know Criterions are expensive and never go below a certain point but if I can get it for about $15.99 or less that'll do.
