The action/fight scenes are actually really good, I do think you should check it out.

Part 2, yes, Part 3, no.
Remember all Cine-asia is doing is re-releasing discs HKL have already made.
Work on Part 3 was completed by HKL, therefore there's nothing stopping Cine Asia from putting it out at some point. We'll have to wait and see... but it's worth remembering that these titles aren't from Fortune Star remasters, but Media Asia masters, and without mono.

Well, it ain't rocket science... but it's stylish, violent fun.

The chances of getting passable audio are still probably better than with FS. With FS it would be something like:

55% chance no mono
30% chance fake mono
10% chance genuine out of sync mono
10% chance genuine muffled crap mono
-5% chance good mono

Every version I've seen has that terrific Anita Mui theme song.
As for the TC of Enter The Dragon, I've never seen it (not sure) :o :D
If you saw the film before 1998 you have.
I dont think I did unfortunately.

A Better Tomorrow BDs...

"I can confirm that the discs are locked to Region A! On the other side, it is an euphemism to say they look alright! So if you can't play the Blu-rays, you really don't miss much!"

Apparently Well-Go will be releasing these in the US (well the first one anyway) according to bluray.com.

Incorrect. They're releasing the recent Korean remake. Id love it if they did release the original to accompany it.

I give major props to WellGo for releasing Shaolin in a timely fashion. Its gonna play theatrically on Sept 9th before making its way to blu. Also on or about September 9th, Indomina is releasing Tsui Hark's Detective Dee in theatres so I give them props too!

5 Centimeters per Second Global Edition with English Subtitles
- 5 Centimeters per Second
- Voices of a Distant Star
- She and Her Cat
- http://www.asianblurayguide.com/news/55 ... subtitles/

Seriously tempted, although I already own the excellent R2J 5 cm (+ R1 Voices and Cat)

And by tentatively, you mean delayed indefinitely from intended release date? I'll be surprised if that shit comes out by 2013.

I don't understand your question lol, what relevance does that have? Depends where and when you buy them, surely. I'll be adding this to my MoC collection for sure.

It's not a trick question . Aren't they pricey? Or have you managed to find them for a decent price?

I usually get them from HMV.com, the price doesn't bother me as they are very high quality and I think MoC are a company well worth supporting :)

Criterion BDs are pricey, MOC just don't frequent the sales like Optimum and the like. They do tend to hit sales eventually though (and I think MoC have started periodically running sales from their website).
MoC are definitely a label worth supporting, it's run by a handful of genuine film/dvd fans who try their best to maintain quality in their output.

It would be nice if they released some titles I've heard of occasionally. I've heard of a few but even Criterion release obscure plus more recognisable titles. I only own M and Metropolis DVDs.

They've rnot long back struck a deal with Universal to gain access to some of their catalogue titles, so expect more "mainstream" titles from next year on (they're releasing Repo Man in February for instance).

Infernal Affairs USA Blu-ray next month: http://bluray.highdefdigest.com/5666/in ... fairs.html.

Hopefully it'll be better than the HK BD, which is suppose to be pretty average. I think it's a BD25 too. It's a shame they've not included the subtitled commentary, found on the HK discs/UK Tartan DVD. I never did get around to buying the overpriced HK box set. Hopefully the Parts 2-3 come out in the states now too.
