It's being rolled out to all accounts over the next few weeks. There's several reports on this.

It's definitely more cluttered and takes some time to get used to but the information that's always been there is now more accessible and you can finally find old posts. It used to be a nightmare. The thing is, it used to be basically a simple list and now you're presented with a lot more noise. One hand, that's good but the other it's over the top.

The part of timeline I think really lets it down, is having 2 columns like a magazine page.

The page is now too busy to read clearly IMO.

I know what you mean, it is harder to read sometimes on other people's pages imo.

It makes sense from one point of view as it makes better use of space, especially as most screens are widescreen now but it does make it harder to read and work out which is the newer content. Especially when it moves around.

That said. You can skim read quicker now because you can see twice as many posts quickly and get to the interesting ones quicker.
