The bisc man has pulled...

Post by BiscLimpkit »

...a muscle!

On my neck to be precise. Has this happened to anyone? It is sore as fark. It happened when I was working on the weights at the gym. Felt fine but the next day it started to smart.

I went to work as the pain was tolerable but then my neck slowly started to fall to one side. I now look like a tit, everything is perpendicular.

The boss threw a fit when I was still at work, so he ordered me to go home. I phoned my dad and he took me to the doctors. He gave me some stuff (need to check what these are, anti-flams + painkillers I think), but said I should be fine within a week. Gotta exercise my neck to aid the recovery process.

Missing work, which I feel guilty about as I only just started.

This is agony. :(

You really shouldnt lift those weights with your head next time...

Anyway, good luck getting back to normal (or as normal as possible, in your case ;) ) :D

Funnily enough, I jarred my neck at my kung fu class last night! How weird is that?! Mine's not too bad, just stiff & doesn't have the full movement that it normally has.

Ah well, I don't have time to let it heal, much like all my other recurring injuries...

When I was a teenager I had a muscle spasm in my neck which virtually paralysed it. I couldn't move my head at all. Even the slightest jolt was sheer agony. No idea what caused it. It went away after a couple of days.

It's still a bit stiff today (my neck muscle), but I'm feeling guilty for missing work. Mark that's reassuring to know that you recovered from your injury in a few days. Hopefully I can expect the same.

Yeah keeping your neck safe is imperative. This injury totally made me realise how much the human body relies on the neck.

Hmmm... when I was still doing Kung Fu, I also practiced that standing on your head (Upside down) thing, where your whole bodyweight in in the head & neck...
I could do it, probably still can (I'll try right after this post...)

Anyway, I practiced that at home, and we never had it in kung fu class... but one day I showed a mate, and he wanted to copycat... so he did it as well...

AND HE BROKE HIS FUCKING NECK!!!

Actually, he didnt.... but he did 'collapse', rubbed his head a lot and said 'OUCH'....
Same thing, really...
