Idiots complaining about the INCLUSION of original audio tracks should be kicked in the head.

The other flaws are a different matter.

Not official news but someone on another forum got this email from Second Sight in response to a query

"Thanks for getting in touch. We are indeed planning a Blu-ray release of Re-Animator, together with Bride of Re-Animator, From Beyond and Society. Plans for packaging aren't finalised yet but keep an eye on our website over the coming weeks for details as they happen.

Next up which will actually be a 3 disc Blu-ray release of the classic Basket Case trilogy which will also be in a limited edition Steelbook."

certainly in for The Re-Animator's & From Beyond :)

Nice news.

Haven't seen Re-Animator since I was in junior high school...

Basket Case 2 I watched on a festival a few years ago, with director Henenlotter (an awesome guy, btw) sitting next to me. He wished no one would ever see Basket Case 3 again, because, "frankly, it's a piece of crap"

The forthcoming Indiana Jones Blu-ray set sounds really cool, I wonder if they've got rid of the censorship overdubs.
Supervised by director Steven Spielberg and renowned sound designer Ben Burtt, Raiders of the Lost Ark has been meticulously restored with careful attention to preserving the original look, sound and feel of the iconic film. The original negative was first scanned at 4K and then examined frame-by-frame so that any damage could be repaired.
The sound design was similarly preserved using Burtt’s original master mix, which had been archived and unused since 1981. New stereo surrounds were created using the original music tracks and original effects recorded in stereo but used previously only in mono. In addition, the sub bass was redone entirely up to modern specifications and care was taken to improve dialogue and correct small technical flaws to create the most complete and highest quality version of the sound possible while retaining the director’s vision. The result is an impeccable digital restoration that celebrates the film and its place in cinematic history.

Censorship overdubs? Do you mean the line in The Last Crusade about "Jewish families"? Was there anything else?

Yeah, I thought there was more than one but perhaps that's just it. I wish they'd sort out the one in Minority Report too, it's not even done well.

I don't like the fourth Indy film but I guess I'll have to live with it to get the other three. You know what Lucas is like.

Massive improvement on my DVD.

Hope MGM don't take too long to put this one out (and Double Impact).

Originally, yes, but the rights changed hands to MGM. Film was produced by The Stone Group.
Surprised JCVD's back catalogue isn't coming out to tie in with E2 ala Chuck..
Seconded. MGM have the rights to three Van Damme films: The aforementioned Double Impact and Death Warrant, plus also Cyborg. I wonder if Albert Pyun is still trying to interest them in his "director's cut"?

The term 'hard on' was dubbed over to avoid an 'R' rating. Pretty harsh.

Ah excellent, I've been waiting for that! I hope they don't fuck up the encode/remaster like I heard they did for the Dracula one though.
