DVD Answers/Active the new look - Who likes it?

Post by bradavon »

I really like the actual new look BUT (and it's a big but) the:

North America
The Rest of the World

Approach I really dislike. As if one continent has more appeal than the rest of the entire world.

Why has the UK R2, R3 and R4 news been merged? It just means all the news for those regions are now a mess. I wasn't aware DVD Answers/Active had considerably more R1 news than anywhere else?!?

Why the name change?

I really dislike the changes, and the name change esspecially is very pointless :( I thought some other site had took over. For me its a change for the worst and it looks like one of them sites that come up to spam you with garbage, it just deost feel right for me at all.

I like the new look. It looks very professional to me.

The name change was because stacks of numpties kept e-mailing them for DVD Answers all the time, such as how to copy DVDs and their DVD Player was broken.

Seriously. The blue bars on either side are because of the 800x600 brigade.

Me too. The merging of non-US news is a mess. It makes it much harder now to navigate.

It's a pity as the site was very useful to find out about R3 + R4 DVDs in ENGLISH.

DVDTIMES will be visited a lot more sadly, as I used to go to them both, now it seems Times will get me more.

I've always found DVD Times the best but Active/Answers used to be better for R3 + R4 news.
