I never watch The Xtra Factor.

I'm surprised Sharon would allow herself to be groped on TV.

Fair enough

Well it looked like that to me, maybe it was play acting

Journey South were brilliant tonight

Nicholas was crap (out of tune and flat flat flat) and deserved to go. THE CONWAY SISTERS on the other hand sang like strangled cats and burst into tears again after each performance

But I think there was more emotion in their performance than Nicholas.

In a wierd way, CHICO's song worked IMO, it was as Simon said "horribly fantastic"

Cheesy in the extreme but funny

The kids were great!

SHAYNE was very good, great performance

LOUIS getting drenched was hilarious

Here's my commentary on tonight's acts:

From best to worst:

Journey South -- Another very fine performance. I like these guys and hope they reach the final.

Shayne -- I thought he should've gone last week. But tonight his singing was very good. The song was right for him even though it was a mediocre track. I'm thinking Gary Barlow?

Andy -- Smooth and classy as always. Though I thought the song was a bit weak.

Brenda -- I think she's a strong vocalist but the song was a worse dud than Brown Sugar. The first few lines alone however proved she deserved to stay.

Chico -- What can I say? Entertainment with a capital E. But he still isn't a recording artist.

The Conway Sisters -- Uneven. The song came to life somewhat when the chubby girl took over the vocals. She was quite powerful and should be allowed to front next week's effort.

Nicholas -- I've never rated Nicholas. He's flat and uncharismatic and it's right he went home.

I wonder what the Conways will do next week? I'm sure they were only kept in out of sympathy.
I did like Simon telling Nicholas (in effect) he was crap and out of tune

How will Chico top this weeks "performance"? Have fire eaters and performing dogs on stage next time?

I agree he isnt a recording artist, but the performance was really entertaining and he would make a great presenter or something. Bloody brilliant

He does go on a bit with the speeches but his closing line was great - "Find the kid in you and vote for Cheeky Chico!" Ha ha!

Its' easy to forget he's actually a guy in his 30's, he defies age. In a way its a bit like Kylie, who is 37 now but still sounds about 6 years old on her recent songs.

Actually i thought Chico outdid himself this time. It was one of his best performance, and he did his own song which will only stay with him, even if he is kicked out, (i hope he doesn't get kicked out)

Shayne.... boring song, he is a talented guy, but the songs and the way he sings...

Nicholas, like you said Mark, was sooo flat...

Conway Sister, please let them go next week. I think 4Tune should be in their place, as they was so much better

Andy, great song, and i love the way he sang it

Brenda, another talented singer, who is giving it all

Journey South are bloody excellent, alongside Andy, i hope they stay into the final

I hope the final three are:
Andy
Journey South
and Chico.... (sorry about he has got the x-factor)

You can take Chico out of the X factor
But you can't take the X Factor out of Chico

I liked Shayne but thinking back it was hard to understand what Shayne was singing, on the repeat it sounded like "Emilio loves thongs waiter"

I put the subtitles on and the lyrics are: A million love songs later/Here I am trying to tell you/That I care/A million love songs later/Here I am.

Mind you Gary Barlow's version was the same. Still a good performance from Shayne

Those dearly departed....

Addictiv Ladies were a real non-event. I can't imagine what Simon was thinking putting them on stage.

I didn't rate 4Tune either. Just another bland boyband IMO.

Philip had no personality, though he seemed comfortable doing rock 'n' roll. He was never gonna go far in this competition.

Chenai sang thru her nose, but was kinda cute.

Maria was great (and cheated) and Nicholas deserved to go.

Yeah Maria ticked all the "popstar" boxes and shouldnt have gone.

Attractive/Good looks - check
Good voice - check
Entertaining - check
Personality - check

The only thing Chico is missing is the voice

BTW Mark did you see the interview with Simon Cowell on This Morning (on ITV)? I didnt see all of it but apparently he said that Chico "will be releasing a single on his label shortly after the winner releases his"

So that means he wont win then

Of course he wouldnt but the

is for Simon letting the cat out of the bag. Obviously Shayne will win.

I really liked the Il Divo song (Cowell's opera group) at the end, their version of All By Myself (Solo Otra Vez) was SUPERB. Brilliant stuff

I didn't see the interview. I think Simon assumes (and hopes) Chico won't win. I mean, if he did, that would change the whole nature of the show.

Yeah, well that would be one in the eye for Simon, it would show the programme to be even more of a farce than it already is

He wont win, it'll be either Shayne or Journey South (I like JS though) mark my words. 8)

Next time Chico could do Robbie's *other* big song Let Me Entertain You (would be perfect for him), or Word Up by Cameo (sp?), he could even do the metal version done by Gun in the 90's (featured in the wet pole-dancing scene in Barb Wire). 8)

Sounds like a good choice for him, though he'll have to do it in a lower range than Michael Jackson does, his attempt to imitate Prince during his performance of Kiss was painful.

A sort of singing/talent contest (allegedy) where members of the "public" are groomed into pop stars, they sing different songs each week and the viewers at home decide who is the least popular each week and who should stay/go once its down to the final 12. (Mark you can explain this better).

The pole dance is still in the film, but it's LONGER in the UNRATED version. I'm not sure which cut is available in the UK, but as the DVD is an '18' I would guess it's the longer one.

Some of her films have different titles as well, eg Good Cop, Bad Cop (1993) = Raw Justice on R1.
