Try "Nylon Beat", you might like them

Hey Guys !

I have recently discovered a great finnish band called Nylon Beat.
One of their songs ("Like A Fool") is featured in the amazing korean sci-fi movie "Resurrection of the Little MatchGirl".

These 2 girls have been singing together since 1995 and I believe that their voices are worth a listen (or two).

Their latest album ("Comeback") is top-notch stuff.

Nylon Beat have a very rock-y sound (kinda like Avril Lavigne) and their songs are extremely catchy (despite having finnish lyrics

Rocks Chicks are well Hot!

I guess I can forgive them for those god awful Americana tops 8) (and yes I'd say the same if the Union Jack was splattered across their breasts).

I've no idea where I can source their material they're not listed on: CD WOW, BangCD, CDJungle, Play, CD/DVD Pacific or CD Universe but Amazon.co.uk do have some of their back catalogue.

That said music not in English has very little appeal for me. I have and like some of Shakira's Spanish material and the like of The Gypsy Kings can be good but tbh they hold limited appeal.

It all sounds a bit samey when I can't understand it. It's a little different with "World Music" though.

I had to download their latest album illegally (I know, Booo !) because I couldn't find it on the web.
You can find it on everybody's favourite P2P network ( ED**KEY ).

That said music not in English has very little appeal for me.

When you like the sound, lyrics aren't really important, right ?

If you want, I can give you a link to a couple of songs via PM.
(Just so you know what it sounds like).

I am posting this link to promote this band and encourage people who might be interested in their music.
Since Nylon Beat's albums are impossible to find, I don't think it's a big crime to post a couple of songs.
But if any of the mods have a problem with it, please feel free to remove the link.

Give them a chance. We rarely get to hear good music these days.
