Tits and Shagging???

With the exception of Austin Powers I hate spoofs. So in my opinion Naked Gun and Airplane are dire.

Spoofs are usually funny enough... but not keepers.

The Naked Gun is thus far my only exception.

Ones I've had but gotten rid of include: Airplane, Hot Shots 1/2, Loaded Weapon.

I'll pick up Naked Gun 2.5 if I see it for £3.99. I saw it and 3.33 in the cinema and enjoyed them at the time. Wonder if they hold up as well as the first film.

I love the scene at the hospital (from NG1) when Frank questions Nordberg about what happened to him on the boat (he was shot by drug dealers).

Frank: What happened?

Nordberg: Drugs...

Frank: Quick nurse, give this man some drugs.

Nordberg: No, Frank. Heroin...

Frank: That's a pretty tall order Nordberg. You'll have to gimme a couple of days on that one.

HK 2 disc uncut version of Sha Po Lang out on 12 January:

http://www4.cd-wow.com/detail_results_2 ... ode=260491

At £8.99 (cheaper with you know what), works out a better deal than from yesasia.

I've only seen the cut mainland version so far.

Very good film, very dynamic, with impressive fight scenes.
Much much better than Dragon Squad.
I used to be "the man who loves the movies you hate".
Now I'm just "that weird french guy with a cat avatar who comes to BnB once a year for no reason and then disappears again".

Hi slash,

Good thanks mate. :)

I've seen the mainland cut and it's one of the best HK movies I've seen in years. Very good acting, and amazing fights with Donnie and Samo on top form.

Cool price thanks. I may preorder this I'll be getting it asap and HKL PE DVDs don't go into Sales much anyway.

Has the £2 voucher definitely expired? The link no longer works but I wonder if the codes still work?

Broken Flowers R3 is a lovely £7.99 at CD WOW -

http://www.cd-wow.com/detail_results_2. ... ode=262321

Like that Lost in Translation R3 bargain from a while back it looks to be a clone of the R1. For £5.99 I'm all over it.

Taken from a DVD Forums thread on the film:

"Good film, especially for fans who lust after the sexy, cute teenage lass in current tv hit, "Invasion" ..... coz she gets completely starkers in this!" :D

Huh? The last second you posted HKL prices are rubbish.

How did you manage to get them so low?

I didnt mean from HKL site, I meant HKL dvds in general :)

and waiting and watching does wonders for bargain hunters :D I havent paid more than 6 pound for a HKL or PA dvd in a long time, and I own pretty much all of them, sadly :( as some are poor.

Cheers my bad. Those are fab prices for HKL PA DVDs I own a few at that price but on occasion (FOF: PE) being one of them I couldn't wait.

£10.99 is a decent price for such a new release too. The PQ BTW is a vast improvement but the Mono soundtrack has been recorded really quietly I have to put my AMP up to a really high volume.

I'm sticking with the Cantonese DD5.1 anyway. The 5.1 is used minimaly and being 5.1 has much better dynamic range. Shame it's in Cantonese but Mandarin/Cantonese dubbing doesn't really bother me.

Broken Flowers R3 shipped with £2 off. It looks like the good times are with us again :D

They've put the price down by £2. At £8.99 that's a fantastic price. I fucking pre-order and pay £2 more! How does that make sense???

It's literally only a day or so they've dropped the price.

I'm tempted to e-mail them but am not sure as I never paid the full price in the first place.

But literally 1-2 days after it's released that's not fair. I don't mind when it's a few weeks but 1-2 days, that's cheeky. I've not known CD WOW to pull this sneaky tactic before.

They know many will pre-order. The thing is it could've gone the other way, most e-tailors put the price up after release, bugger!

The whole point of a pre-order system is so early adopters get better treatment (i.e - it goes up afterwards) as they've got an early sale.

Anyway I've e-mailed them we'll see what they say. The silly thing is I could (if I was arsed) send it back for as full refund and then re-order it at the lower price. It's easier for them (and cheaper) to just give me a £2 refund.

I've got a reply from CD WOW and you're not going to believe what they've sent me, a bloody £1 voucher code.

Not only does it not cover the difference I can get bloody hundreds of them. They think they're doing me a favour too!

I'm VERY tempted to send it back, ask for a refund and then buy it again. Thinking about it it would cost me £1.50 (as there isn't anything wrong with it) but I'd still make a 50p saving.

On second thoughts I won't bother but lots of these are in order
