Aeon Flux

Post by BiscLimpkit »

I was kinda looking forward to this but the trailer made it look like Charlie's Angels 3.5.

Plus imdb verdicts haven't been too hot. Looks like another dumbed down nu-ass PG13 crap.

And there's that other film with an ultra slim Milla Jovovich...

According to the adverts over here, Aeon Flux is rated 15 and "Contains strong violence".
Still looks poo though ;)

It's a PG-13 in the States though... which means the violence won't really be all that strong. Charlie's Angels was a 15... look how shite that was.

You know, I'm probably gonna end up seeing this with my unlimited card.

Isn't Aeon Flux originally an anime?

Remember that US doesn't really rate violence, but the numbers of cocks and cunts you see... or rather DON'T see...

Meaning the Angels could've gotten a higher rating simply because all of it's references to sex and whatnot...

I'm kinda looking forward to this one though I'll not be going to the Cinema for it...
So long, and thanks for all the fish!

No. It was a US-produced strictly adult toon (animated by various Korean animation studios like most US shows) that ran on MTV for a couple seasons of so. The show was quite good from what I remember. It's maintained a cult following

The show was created/produced/written/etc by Peter Chung, who had previously worked on Rugrats of all things. His art style is very distinct, I like it. He also produced the Chronicles of Riddick tie-in short animated film and one of the Animatrix episodes.

Does it have to be Asian to be anime? It sure looked like anime to me.

Very true. I'd say Angels is a 12 NOT 15.

Yeah, has to be asian, or else it would just be anime-style.
Didnt think it looked like anime myself. Thought it looked like crap, tbh.

It's probably a 15 for maybe a few seconds only. Otherwise it'd probably be fine at a 12.

Anyway, this film sucks major donkey schlong.

Anime style?! Come on... anime in Japan technically means any animated film ;) So it would be "asian-style" or "japan-style" then... :D

Yes?
Wikipedia wrote:The Japanese term for animation is アニメーション (animēshon, pronounced: /ɑnimɛːʃɔn/), written in katakana. It is a direct transliteration and reborrowed loanword of the English term "animation." The Japanese term is abbreviated as アニメ (anime, pronounced: /ɑnimɛ/ ).
(my emphasis)

And what does the Fédération Equestre Internationale have to do with anything? :D
