Basic Instinct 2

Post by grim_tales »

You can download the trailer/teaser (?) here:

I wish it was in Real Player/WM format and not blummin' Quicktime. Oh well.

Cheers. I'll have a look but it really wasn't needed.

You're the only one. Why?

Real Player especially is a DREADFUL format insisting you stream it  . Thankfully 90% of Trailers are in the QuickTime format.

DivX or XVID AVI are the best for compressed video and then QuickTime Movie. MPEG2 is decent but because of it's age it doesn't compress all that well.

WMV is also decent but I HATE the buffering causing pauses when you fastforward/rewind. Real Player is just evil and thankfully looks to be dying.

The film has been cut for an R-rating in the US (just as the first film was).

Apparently cuts have been made to "an orgy" (reports claim).

I wouldn't be surprised if we Brits get the uncut version (as before)

OK. Watched the "trailer".

Hmmmm......

Three points:

1. That CANNOT be a theatrical trailer as I've never seen so much strong sex and violence in one in my life.

2. Sharon Stone looks fucking amazing for 46/47.

3. The film looks utter shit. (Michael Douglas and Paul Verhoeven look to have done smart by jumping ship).

No, it's a cinema film.

Sharon was born March 1958.

Film was completed August 2005.

Therefore she was 47 when it was filmed.

Phwoarrh! :D

Sharon's boobs look great! :P Has she had a boob job at some point, or is she naturally still that perky?

the first one was entertaining,i own it but let's be honest it was no great shakes. this one looks in a similar vein, lots of shagging and violence and will be trashily entertaining no doubt 8)

For its' genre (erotic thriller) I found the first extremely watchable. This 2nd film looks poo.

Looks like an unrated promo reel.

I thought the first film was clever, slick and well-made.
Sharon Stone was great in it; she should have gotten an Oscar for playing the most interesting (and iconic) female character of the 90's.

The sequel is directed by, er, Michael Caton-Jones. :|

Who?
I agree BTW, it was well made and also felt classy because of the performances, direction and Jerry Goldsmith's score.

Who is the lead actor anyway? Mick Douglas was very good in the first film.

Saw the theatrical trailer for this when I went to see Brokeback last night, made the film look average at best, maybe poor. Michael Douglas was a good actor, I dont know who the hell David Morrissey is.
Sharon Stone looks smokin' hot in the trailer considering her age (46/47). :D

Any other time this would be a DTV (Direct to Video) sequel. No doubt Stone needs some cash, it looks dreadful.

He's a TV actor.

The way you and Romero go on you'd think women can't look hot after the age of 30/40 :)

Most definitely a milf
