The Mother of all Sand Castles

Although it's tasteless, I couldn't help but smile.

Now I'm just "that weird french guy with a cat avatar who comes to BnB once a year for no reason and then disappears again".

Nope. Not laughing. Hits too close to home for me to find it humorous.

and btw, it totally looks like two separate photos pieced together.

LD I've turned it into a link so we don't offend anyone who isn't interested in looking at it. I know I don't but fair enough for wanting to post it.

i'd sugest its fake for two reasons. firstly the base is almost certainly the great pyramids. secondly the crowd is made up of Sikhs. still a damn impressive sandcastle

That's pretty offensive stuff. If it has been photoshopped... wtf, putting Sihks in the background...

I've opened it in photoshop to zoom in on it and perhaps get a better look, but if it is photoshopped, it's very well done.
I cant say for sure if it's photoshopped or not.

I laughed at the picture as well. It's just a bit bizarre seeing someone come up with such an idea. And yeah, maybe it's a bit twisted, but there are always going to be artforms that depict bombings, explosions, death, mayhem etc.
These guys just got together and built it in sand.

I rather see they voice their opinion in this matter, then seeing them pick up arms and joining Al Quaida or whatever ;)

Which great pyramid in particular?

you need to be looking at examining the join of the main tower to the rest, its kind of clever the way its done because you automatically tend to look at the dry sand line further down instead for proof, but thats just ho sand dries.

Those are cool but are they real sandcastles? I've seen many which are actually made out of other materials.

That last one looks like it comes from a camera phone.

That's a really funny question after the discussion we had on the Memoirs of a Geisha thread, about how some people assume all Far Eastern people look the same... and how I compared that to people assuming Indian and Middle Eastern people look the same.

Apart from the fact that physically, those people look Indian, you can tell they're Sihks by the way they wear their turban.

The picture is dumb (only imo) because Sihks (or any Indian for that matter) had nothing to do with the 9/11 attacks. I understand that the picture is all 'one big laugh' but I don't get the humour because

1. The incident was a horrible tragedy (I was in NY during that period) that sparked a massive conflict going on today.

2. Sihks in the background... it doesn't make sense.

Obviously if someone thinks "LMAO arabs in the background" then yeah, I guess I can see the funny side in that...

Those images 68 posted are impressive though.

Good point.

I've only limited knowledge about such things.

I sure as hell know Sikhs, Indians, the people in the photo weren't involved in 9/11 it's obvious they're not from the same nation.

Good pics there from 68M, but that one of Jabba is a little strange. Someone thought it wise to have have Han Solo frozen in carbonite (well done), with flower pots just in front.
