The Village - DTS

Post by bradavon »

I can see no difference between this and the R1/UK R2 except the additional DTS:

I thought this was tops so am all over it.

most boring film of 2004....pretentious waffle by a director who isn't as clever as he thinks he is...:Dgotta love the cd-wow hype.. "a riveting, edge of your seat chiller"...:Pyeah right.

If you mean am I a member of the village people then yes.

Personally I'd agree with that CD WOW tag completely. It's probably not as good as Unbreakable but otherwise my second favourite. I didn't think much of Signs (after 2 viewings to) but otherwise he is a talented director. It's not him who blows up his films it's the public.

I thought it was excellent and the twist wasn't a letdown. I loved what Symamlksknyahn (sp?) did with that. Great film IMO. I thought Signs was crap at first, but loved it on the 2nd viewing.

Got to say I am purchasing the Korean Version - but also I thought this movie was cool as. Great in theory etc. But I've like all his movies so far and Unbreakable was my favourite also.

Bottom line not everyone is going to like the same thing but to say this movie was laughable is a bit much - IMO

I thought that part was tops especially in the woods.

What's so special about the Korean DVD? It looks the same as the South East Asia DVD but more expensive.

What about it otherwise? What's the AV like? Is the DTS better? What are the extras like?

I can live with an annoying layer change.

You can say that with all DVDs though Nils. Except Criterion or Japanese titles of course.

It's already pretty cheap. I'll be getting it soon. I thought it was tops with only "Signs" being weak IMO.

TMFL? Where did talk of Saw come from?

I'm sure you insist on calling them "the wow" like they're some type of god just to annoy me :D
