I FINALLY have some free time on my hands, and because my graphics card for the PC is broken, I cant play Grim fandango or Far Cry yet, so I went back to playing Fable on the Xbox.

I bought Fable in December I think, and had only played it a little bit, not really getting into it as much as I wanted. Today I started again and played pretty much all day long. I have to say I'm really enjoying myself. It's a bit hard at times (like the mission where I have to save the young kid from some trolls or whatever they are... ) but it's going OK I guess...

Also just bought Burnout 3 for 5 euro, so also playing that a bit. Very good arcade game.

It's nice to finally have some time to just spend a couple of hours on non-stop gaming

My brother's been playing Fable a lot recently.

I've been on 24: The Game which is good if you're a fan of the series. If not, then it's probably average.
Very nice presentation, all the voices and music done by the original people from the TV show. And Jack always kicks ass.

This should change tomorrow (or rather, later today) when I get Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney for the DS and Odama for the GameCube! Looking forward to playing the former especially! (Despite the mountain of work I have!)

Odama is a bizarre sounding mix of a battle and pinball game set in feudal Japan. An invading army can only be repelled by controlling a giant cannon. You must also control your troops by shouting orders into a microphone, to avoid being splattered by said cannon.
Sounds very odd, and I probably haven't done it justice, but then that's the kind of game I like.

BTW, Harvest Moon 2 is £14.99 at Play also, sounds a bit dull on paper though

Zelda is out of stock now, hopefully it will still be that price when I've paid off my CC

Got Odama, Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney and Resident Evil. The first (on GameCube) is rather difficult, but a lot of fun, the second (on DS) is one of the best games I've played in a long time (easiest way to imagine it is that it's like one of the old-school LucasArts adventures) and Resident Evil is classic. All the FMV and voiceovers are intact with new touchy-feely bits in to take advantage of the stylus.
I got it purely because I wanted to hear Barry Burton's amazing dialogue and delivery. :-)

I've heard Ace Attorney is very good. I want to get Odama too.
Spartan: Total Warrior has sold out at Play (it was the super cheap price of £12.99). Poo.
Might still get Zelda though.

Zelda is very good (and I have it), but unfortunately, I no longer have the time to dedicate to the huge epics. I might make exceptions for Final Fantasy games, but that's gonna be it.

I'm still playing Metal Gear Ac!d for the PSP. Just finished Stage 5 which is getting the C4 on the 2nd floor. I'm really enjoying this game, and love the card twist to Metal Gear Solid. The music is just outstanding, I think this music is my preferred music, then it will be MGS1, 2 and finally 3.

Can't wait to finish this, then get Metal Gear Ac!d 2 and play that

You really prefer the music of Ac!d over the music of any of the MGSolid-games? That's odd. I love the original MGS tune, even more when it was perfected by Harry Gregson-Williams in part 2 and especially in part 3.

The C4 level is really cool. But wait until you reach the stage where you work together with that woman and you have to wait for the other character's turn to open a switch in order so the other character can walk through a door and rthe way around. These stages are so looong and I'm kinda tired of them to be honest.

Yeah there is something about the music in Ac!d which is really cool. It prob because i use the headphone for PSP so maybe Im getting the 'fuller' music experience, than MGS on PSX, PC or Gamecube (yes played all three versions and completed them). Although i do love the original MGS tune, and Harry "remix" in Part 2. To be honest I haven't gone far in MS3, I haven't even completed the first level.
Is MGS3 really good by the way, after playing number 2 there was some cool bits, and the story was very interesting. Love the homage right at the end with the Colonel going crazy because he is not real, and you see the metal gear solid game on the mx2 . That made me smile, but there was something about it which didn't meld with me. Hideo Kojima is a talented designer, i love his snatcher game on Sega Cd, and also am a huge fan of Shinji Mikami (Resident Evil), but felt that MGS2 wasn't as great as number 1. Did he have input for Ac!d?

Yes, he had a little bit of input into Ac!d.

I also liked part 1 more than part two on PS2. The storyline of part 1 was far better in my opinion as it was packed with a lot of emotional moments.

Now part 3 is great again. Continue playing it. Where exactly did you reach? The story that developes later is just really cool. Emotions play a big role again as they did in part 1.

Bought Viewtiful Joe 2 for the Cube last week, and just played level 1 today. Seems like a very nice game

Also started playing Zelda WW again for a bit... Finished the black and white castle, and got a new sword.

And just played Pro Evo 5 and scored with 2 nice volleys. It's a shame you can only save 36 replays or something like that.

You been playing Odama? I'd like to see if I can find it cheap, I've read a couple of reviews that say its a superb idea but kind of a pain in the arse to play (too hard and use of the microphone is not optional)

A shame as I like pinball and was looking forward to this

The microphone is not optional, no. It's a great idea, not too difficult to play (it's pinball) but it is hard. God, it's hard; mainly thanks to the time-limit. If you're good at pinball, then you can more accurately place the ball where you need it to go. If you suck, like I used to (I no longer do, thanks to this game

) then it can be little disheartening. What occurs though, is that you play and play and get better at pinball placement, and you develop tactics to particular levels.
The microphone is used to move your troops to particular areas of the battlefield and to get them to do certain tasks.

One thing I will say is that even though it's billed as a 1-player game, it very playable as a 2-player co-op game. One of you controls the Odama (the pinball) and the other controls the troops, kind of like two commanders. If you have a set, you can even use the bongo drums from Donkey Konga to rally your troops, which is a great touch. :-)

A very unique game, and one that makes you work for victory. If you can find it, go for it. 8)

Ok... now that the 360 is here, shops are clearing out their Xbox games. Last week I bough Brothers in Arms for 10 euro, and last weekend I bought Ninja Gaiden Black for 11 euro.
Been playing both these games a bit now, and am really enjoying both.

I already had the first Ninja Gaiden on the Xbox, but I thought it was too hard, and my game kept crashing (dirty disk error), so I didnt bother pursuing it.
But NGB works well (no crashes) and today I've reached the 3rd big boss in the game, the guy on the roof of the big aeroplane. It's a big guy with some huge gun, and I havent defeated him yet, so hopefully I will succeed tomorrow.

Brothers in Arms: Awesome game, although I can sense it would become a bit repetitive after a while. I'm now in a level where I have to blow up some poles in a field so the airplanes can land or something. I do however experience that although you should work with your group and all that, I tend to go forward on my own and just snipe the whole batch of enemies.

Finally, I bought my girlfriend Animal Crossing. She's isnt really fond of gaming, but she did like this game. I havent tried it myself yet, although I played a bit on her turn. Personally, I feel it would probably become a bit boring after a while, but then again I also wasnt a fan of The Sims...
I will give it a fair chance in the coming days/weeks though. Probably start my own game and travel back and forth to my girlfriend's town and leave her nice little notes and shit like that.

Havent really been playing much else...
I have Far Cry installed on my PC, which is nice but it's been a while since I played... and I installed Elder Scrolls: Oblivion, but only played that for about 10 minutes orso. Didnt really have time yet to delve into it...
Looks to be running ok on my PC, but I havent been outside yet so could become a problem.
