R1 Jersey Girl

Some other I can't recall at moment.

EDIT:

Flower Island (R3 KR)
Days of Being Wild (R3 KR)
Address Unknown (R3 KR / 2 Disc)
Takeshis' (R2J
Getting Any (R1)
Violent Cop (Eastern Eye)
Boiling Point (Eastern Eye)

I finally gave up with those Kitanos. Maybe I'll update to the R2J's some day, but right now I just want to see those films. I hope the R4's don't look as bad as they do in dvdbeaver's screencaps...

Hung, you sure have spent a lot of money today with all these DVDs including an expensive ass R2J. Personally, I'll be waiting for the HK disc of "Takeshis'".

I didn't order them all today  But they sure weren't cheap. Let's see:

Flower Island + Days of Being Wild + Address Unknown + shipping = 36,25€
Takeshis' + shipping = 27,77€
Getting Any + shipping = 26,58€
Violent Cop + Boiling Point = 37,95€

= 128.55€ / 155.4$ / 89.2£ in total... Damn, I didn't realize it was that much. :?

I'm trying complete some collections. I realized I own about 300 dvds, yet I don't have a single perfect collection (by director, actor etc.) and decided to do something about it. Now I'm only missing Brother from Kitano (which I'm gonna order soon).

Same thing with Kim Ki-Duk, Shunji Iwai and Wong Kar Wai. Though their filmographies include some titles not available on dvd, so those collection won't be "perfect".

Ow oki, thanks. I misread an earlier post on the subject then. Still sucks ofcourse, but it's less annoying then 13 minutes I guess.
Personally I've never seen the movie, just the trailer, and judiging from (only) that it doesnt seem like a movie I'd particularly enjoy...
I'm not much of a gore-fan. I dont mind gore in good movies, but the clip of a guy hanging in meathooks... hmmm... not too tasty... :)

Well, it is gory. I take it you have seen the Premier Asia-trailer which really focusses on the gory parts. But most gory scenes are really made kinda comedic. Hard to believe, I know, but the way the scenes were shot, it is easy to say that most of them are supposed to make you smile. Like Ichi entering a room and we only see blood and body parts flying out of the door.

It's HK version that is cut by 13 minutes

And yeah, as strange as it may sound, the best (okay, maybe not) adjective to describe Ichi is "amusing". That's how I felt... Or maybe I'm just a sick and twisted person...

Aw, thanks for the extra info on the movie. I might pick it up then if I happen to come across it when it's on sale (about 10 euro orso...)
I've heard many positive things about it, but like I said, the trailer kinda put me off...

In The Realm of the Senses (1976) R2 from CD WOW rentals

BTW I think the UK DVD uses a French (?) print, and it looks quite a good transfer

I had to send the DVD back though, it refised to play after 12 minutes

Isn't the UK dvd optically censored?

A nearly broken nose :D

I'm still waiting for my Firefly box set and the comic that bridges the series with Serenity (which was written by Whedon, so hopefully the integrity of the piece will be maintained.)

How the hell can you afford these Eva? Let's look at the evidence:

a: You're a student.
b: You're in NZ and are getting screwed by the exchange rate.

Good spot on sendit though. They'll only charge you in June right?

I just ordered:

Tom Yum Goong KR R3
Jozee, the Tiger and the Fish KR R3
Battle Royale EE UK R2 DTS
