Do you mark Milestone DVDs?

Post by grim_tales »

Hey,

Do you all make note of milestone numbers in your collection like what your first, 100th, 200th DVD was etc?
I'll probably get a Criterion for my 200th DVD whenever that comes.

I dont really keep a check, but for fun ;)

Not really, but for fun:

1 - Gladiator: Collector's Edition UK R2
50 - The Matrix Revisited R1
100 - Infernal Affairs II HK DVD
150 - The Simpsons: The Complete Season 5 R1

:)

800: Running on Karma R3.
1000: The Great Yokai War R3. :D

That's a lot of dvds, isn't it. :albino:
I used to be "the man who loves the movies you hate".
Now I'm just "that weird french guy with a cat avatar who comes to BnB once a year for no reason and then disappears again".

The first DVD I ever bought:
"Project A 2" - German R2 - 2 DVD version

One day later I bought the German two-discer of "Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon".

My 7th DVD was my first HKL which was "Police Story".

*Checking my profiler:

050: Rambo 3
100: 007 - You Only Live Twice
150: Hero Shed No Tears
200: Bruce Lee - The Legend / The Man and the Legend
250: Plum Blossom
300: Evil Dead 2
350: City of God
400: Sympathy for Mr. Vengeance
450: Champion (Premier Asia)
500: Damo: Complete Series
550: Duel Project Box Set (Aragami & 2LDK)
600: Last Drop of Blood
650: Super Dragon (Jimmy Wang Yu)
700: Traces of a Dragon (Award-winning Jackie Chan documentary)
750: One Wonderful Sunday (he he he)
800: The Corrs - Live at the Royal Albert Hall - St. Patrick's Day
850: ??? Who knows what the future holds for my DVD collection.

It's also hard to tell exactly if these were the exact titles. If you count boxsets which include more than one film, but only are listed at one single entrance in the profiler. Or the films I sold or traded. I deleted them out of my collection, so it's impossible to be precise.

I never wrote down the numbers, but here’s something else:
First dvd: Bullit (WB)
First import dvd: Hard Boiled (Fox Lorber)
First overseas order: Kill Bill Vol. 1 & Zatoichi (2003) (japanese releases)
First dvd I watched without subs: Install
First dvd I subbed myself: Fist of Legend (HK Video)
Best deal: Kill Bill Vol. 2: the japanese box set (33€ delivered)
Most expensive dvd: Azumi – Deluxe Edition – (about 65€)
Gem of the collection: Taifu Club (Pioneer)
Biggest mistake: Alive (Kitamura) (accidentally bought a bootleg, threw it into a garbage can the next day)
The first dvd I killed: Ong Bak bootleg (with a hammer)
Cheapest dvd: Big Brother Cheng (Celestial) 0.1€

Have no idea how many DVDs I have or in which order I bought them... (I'm sure it's nowhere near 800, though, lol)

But my first two were Enter the Dragon - 25th Anniversary (R1) and Lethal Weapon 4 (R1). I got them in the same package.

My first HKL DVD was "Police Story", which was my 2nd DVD ever.

Jesus I have so many I would be on forever writing crap like that, no idea how you could remember anyway unless you write every time you get a dvd and keep them in order with a online system, which I dont. When your into 4 figures you kind of loose track.

You don't use Profiler?
