"Post 9/11 Blues"

Post by grim_tales »

Anyone heard this hip-hop track? I just heard a little bit about it on C4 news, claiming its' controversial because of the lyrics and subject, which take swipes at Blair/Bush and his views about Iraq and terrorisn, from what I gather and what its like being a young Muslim in a post 9/11 (you got me at it now) society). However, it is supposed to be satirical.
Its done by one of the guys who also acted in the movie "The Road To Guantanamo"

Question: Should we mix music and politics?
I think its' like those cartoons - music/art which is deliberately designed to upset or piss people off is out of order IMO. But if it provokes a reaction when he is trying to make a point or is just expressing his view (remember the record is satire) its' fair game IMO.

:)

BTW, I think the guy's rap is on a par with, let us say Daz Sampson of Eurovision :?

:D
