If you ain't seen the double-episode shown this week, I've been kind and spoiler-tagged the following Edgar dies! Yes! I thought Chloe was annoying (she still is) but my God, Edgar did my nut in. Also, Kim coming back was threatened a few episodes back, and they finally made good on it. However, my wish for her to be brought back wearing a bikini top (because of the time she was spending at the beach with Chase) was ignored.
Bastards.
Give (some of) the fans what they want!
I recently saw an interview with Sutherland in which he confirmed that he has signed contracts for seasons 6, 7 and 8 and on top of all that he has signed for a theatrical movie of "24". WTF?
Season 5 is really crappy so far. I can't think of anything fresh and new to be contributed to what was the best TV series ever.
grim_tales wrote:IM what do you think of President Logan? He really is a spineless goon compared to Palmer and wouldnt be a good Pres in real life, IMO. Somehow the fact he is a contrast to Palmer is good for the show though.
I agree LD, I really don't see how a 24 movie can work - it won't be 24, it will be just a standard political thriller (if 24 hasnt become that already).
S5 is good, but the others were better.
Let's not go nuts.
Barely acceptable, I'd say. The scripting has gone to pot, and the only reason I keep watching is because of Sutherland. The rest just doesn't make sense.
The last episode I watched of the fifth season was number 18. After episode 16, I just thought it was just more rudiculous than ever. But things went uphill with episodes 17 and 18.

Yes, but the sad thing is that he barely appears in the fifth season, lol. We mostly see what's happening at CTU and with President Logan.
Bauer started getting more to do during the past few episodes.
LOL, you're mate predicted the exact same thing as I did while watching the 4th season. Back then I said the 4th season would end with Jack Bauer taken to China into a prison where he'd have to escape then in the 5th season.
That's too far away. But as long as they use that time to come up with a decent story this time round, I'll be happy.
TV's pretty much done though now, for the summer. The Sopranos ends tomorrow (for good, I believe, which is a good thing, because this last season has been a little iffy) and after that, I have nothing TV based to watch, I don't think...
