Do you like olives?

Post by BiscLimpkit »

I love olives. I could eat an entire jar and not get sick (maybe). Furthermore, they are so versitile. You can eat them in salads, pizzas, nutella.... anything!

Mind you, I used to hate them as a kid. Probably because I expected them to taste like a grape or something... kinda surprised to experience that taste for the first time.

I dont think I've ever tasted them.
Weird, considering I have eaten octopus and crocodile...

Now, I'm still waiting to try that tasty-looking bear-claw in honey from The Chinese Feast... :D (...or living Monkey brain... :P )

So what do olives taste like??

WHAT? Yi, I suggest that the first thing you do when enetring a supermarket the next time, is to look out for a jar of olives, where the stones have been removed and instead something else like tomato or cheese has been filled in.

Olives are awesome and in my opinion, they beat any kind of popcorn, chips or dip while watching a movie.

Maybe it's hard for me to believe that people never ate an olive before, because I grew up in an Arab household and an Arab household without olives is not an Arab household, he he he!

But then again, I'm pretty sure that all of my German friends have eaten olives before. Even if it was just on a pizza or so.

What the hell is an Olive?

Is that one of those green things?

If so never had one.

I'm a very fussy eater anyways... so I'm sure I wouldn't like it. :D

Never eaten an olive? That's insane! I LOVE green olives, especially stuffed with almonds. Mmmmmm. Black olives are okay in moderation when used in pizzas, salads, etc, but I do prefer the green ones.

Delicious!

There are dozens, if not, hundreds of different sorts of olives. A green olive from Jordan doesn't necessarily taste like a green olive from say Columbia or so.

There is a huge olive store over here in Cologne and they have so many different types and tastes. Love most of them. Some of them are too bitter for my likes, though.

Never having tried an olive is strange enough... but to not know what one is, is sheer lunacy.

Definately buy a jar next time you're in the supermarket. It's hard to describe the taste... it's very savoury, can be salty, goes well with green tea.

I've eaten snake soup while I was in HK. Actually tastes like chicken. It just smells differently. :D

But it was good actually.

That reminds of that silly scene from The Matrix.
