The Sandman comic - very cool

[EvaUnit02]

I just finished reading issue 1 of Neil Gaiman's The Sandman. One of the coolest things I've seen in ages.

Basically there are seven eternal beings that've existed for all time including Death, Desire, Delirium, Dream etc. This secret occult society in 1918 does a ritual to try to entrap Death, in order so that no one will ever die again. The ritual backfires and they accidently capture Dream (aka The Sandman). Dream is kept imprisoned for several decades until 1988 when he finally escapes. Then he begins on his quest to seek revenge against his captors and then rebuild his lost powerbase, restore order to the inbalance, etc.
