Who's your favourite bootmaster, LD? TBH I've never seen a John Liu movie (although I have seen the german language Invincible Armour), nor a Tan Tao one... but I think Tan Tao is more impressive from what i've seen, as I really like his form when legholding.

Hwang Jang Lee is awesome of course.

But if I had to give you a contemporary star, it would definitely be Donnie Yen and Tony Jaa. I love Donnie Yen's fighting style.

Wu Tang Magic Kick - R2

Don't know if you're aware but Crash out out a version containig the Mandarin language version with English subtitles and an English dubbed version on a second disc. I could see why someone would want the English version from Eastern Heroes though as Crash presented a cropped to 1.85 version of that while the dvd you got is closer to scope. It's got a german dub too, right?

the english dub on mars villa is very distorted. as for bootmasters john liu & hwang jang lee are tops for me.

I dont know. HJL has never REALLY impressed me. He's a good kicker obviously, but somehow he hasnt really done anything yet where I went 'wow'. I feel perhaps even Yuen Biao is as good, or even better, kicker then HJL. But, I also have to admit I havent seen much movies with HJL yet...
Tan Tao's legholding IS one of those 'wow' things.

I agree about Donnie's kicking being really good, although ofcourse he also had the benefit of undercranking, weird camera-angles, etc. But yeah he's a great kicker nontheless.

I love Tony Jaa, although I'd love to see him more 'classic' kicks like the sidekicks and all the other kicks that require steady form and great flexibilty. Most of his moves are 'round' ones, instead of 'straight' ones, which require less flexibilty and form to execute...
But obviously I'm a great fan of Jaa, and his aerial kicks are beyond belief.
I'm also a huge fan of Jet Li's bootwork. great great form and speed.

Don't know. Only seen the Mandarin version and have not picked up on any info surrounding music over the years for this title.

R2UK Raging Bull UE - I had a quick look at it. The remastered anamorphic transfer was lovely. Also watched the first 10 mins of the first doco - good stuff. An excellent release of this excellent film that I've always wanted. I couldn't get a chance to properly sample the DTS remix though, people were sleeping in the next room.

It's been 4-5 days now I guess since I ordered that spider-man book from play.com, but it still hasnt shipped yet!? When I sign in and check out the status, it just says 'order placed'. So what does that mean!? It's weird, cause they do have the book in stock it seems.
Also, why the hell is it so hard to find a way to contact them about orders, on their site? I see a phonenumber, but I just want email.

Yi are you using the Jersey Play.com right?
I'm pretty sure the contact address is orders@play.com (or something like that), I've tried clicking on "Help" (in the top corner) now to search for you, but under "I have not recieved my order" all I get is some shit about the different order stages they have like "Order Posted" or "Item Unvailable".
Yi next to "Order Placed" does it have an option to cancel?

Thanks Grim, I think it's info@play.com, but I've also tried orders@play.com, just in case...
I also asked them in my email to make it more clear on their website where I should mail to when I, or other costumers, have a question or a complaint, as obviously calling an overseas number isnt really an option for many of us...

It still has the option to cancel yeah, but i wasnt planning on using it. I just want my *&^^*(( Spiderman book

I guess you're trying to say that I should cancel, then re-order, but for now I'll wait till I hear from them.

Finally... finally... finally I received my YesAsia-order which was originally shipped out to me on March 6th. Now, after one shipment got stung at customs and my refusal to go through all the bootlegging accusations and extra payments again, I received my order replacement today.

Customs should be shot dead.
Instead of checking for weapons and drugs in the docks and in the big containers at the airport, they just want to make some quick bucks by harressing costumers who have ordered overseas.
Why should the goverment get any money for something you bought overseas!?
Missed income cause you didnt buy a local product? Then the local product should be as good and as cheap as the foreign import.

Finally, someone else who likes Die Hard 3. I don't see why everyone hates it, sure it's more of a buddy film like Lethal Weapon but it's still good fun. Much much better than Die Hard 2 I thought.

I love "Die Hard 3". I'm so happy that I finally have this. I used to have this on tape and hence wasn't willing to pay the full DVD price for it. So now I got the two discer for a tenner (Euros that is).

It's the only part I have on DVD.
