The Corrs: Home - £1.99 (Back in stock, see 2nd page)

Post by bradavon »

This seemed like such a bargain for the best Corrs album since "Talk on Corners" (some may say the only decent one since, excluding MTV Unplugged)

£2.99 before vouchers: http://www.cd-wow.com/detail_results.ph ... ffid=13858

There is also an interesting looking New Corrs DVD I managed to miss:

The Corrs: All The Way Home/ A History Of The Corrs (2 Disc Set) - http://www.cd-wow.com/detail_results_2. ... ffid=13858

Its a shame I own them :D

I did mention that corrs dvd a long time back to you :) I never bought it just because the price wont come down sadly. The dvd seems to be superb from the sound of it with a very revealing documentary apprently :) that covers everything about them.

I will get it one day :D

Yeah it's a bit pricey. How long has it been out?

Really the extras look a bit pants, going by the listing at CD WOW. I've also not picked up that Katie Melua DVD as it's to expensive. Did you pick it up?

I love the new "All the way home" DVD.
It contains the Live in Geneva concert from october 2004 which is one of my favourites (cause I was there  ).

How long has it been out? Actually it sounds really good going by these reviews:

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000AYQJ4C

The thing with their concert DVDs is there are to many. They must have more concert DVDs than anyone else. I have them all (except for this and "Music Videos" which looks a bit dull) but tbh they all sound a bit samey not because of the songs themselves but because the line up is often the same and in a similar order.

Live at The Royal Albert Hall is still my favourite, partly because of nostalgia.

Yep they're still going. In order to get into the charts you have to be "in the scene". "Home" is very good.

Many artists are doing well enough without chart success any more. Look at The Cranberries back in the mid 1990's their "No Need to Argue" album was huge but since then they've been selling to fans (not for a few years though).

Sort of, but they're taking a break now.
-Andrea is working on her first solo album.
-Jim's wife just had a baby.
-Sharon just had a baby.
-Caroline has two kids to take care of.

Really, cool. I'll pick it up no doubt. Did you see her in that short film?

I saw a trailer, it looked decent. She was walking across a snowy bridge if memory serves me correctly.

Where is the short film? :) yeah the Charts mean bugger all. The Corrs are still as good as ever, like so many artists the public just seemd to stop caring as much.

Nope. Can't remember the title of that one, either.

I'm still waiting for a DVD release of "The boys and girls from County Clare" with Andrea Corr and Bernard Hill.

I've managed to find that trailer again. It's for a short film called "The Bridge", it's said to be 30 minutes long:

Lots of info: http://www.corrsonline.com/home/news/20 ... tory.shtml
30 Second Teaser (QuickTime or MPEG direct download): http://www.corrsonline.com/home/news/2005/may/4a.shtml
2 Minute Trailer (Flash): http://www.247show.com/watch-videos-onl ... 28/sid/380

I've not seen the full trailer.

I was talking about The Corrs and Katie Melua, not The Cranberries. Zombie was one of the best political rock songs of the 90's.

I find Katie Melua dull musically.

I'd still bone her though. :D

She can't sing for shit that's for sure. The vocals on that "closest thing to crazy" song sounded like an animal being tortured slowly & painfully to death.

I have Home and In Blue. One can't tell you where one CD ended and the next one began if played back to back, that's a sign of poor musicianship.
