I'd prefer an HK production. They have no many fucking safety standards and union regulations in Hollywood.

Yeah, but when it's an HK production, you run the risk of having all those popstars getting parts in the movie, often bringing the quality down.
It really depends on the director I guess. If they can get a good Hollywood director who would know how to make full use of both Jet and Jackie, I'd prefer a serious Hollywood movie. But if you can get a good HK director to do the same thing, then just make it a HK/China production. Either way, it's not the country where it's made that matters, but the quality of the script and the director(s).

I just want a good story and great action. Preferably in a nice and interesting setting.

IMO those tend to still be better than the crud Hollywood comes up with (when dealing with Asian stars).

HK = Popstars
Hollywood = Lousy actors

There's not much in it

That's not happened so far why would it suddenly know? In Hollywood there are to many studios breathing down their necks too.

The odds are the best if it's a HK production.

Totally, except with a Hollywood production you're more likely to get some total hack like McG or Andre Bartowiak for this kind of project. With HK productions there's a much better chance you'll end up someone who's at least decent at these type of films, like Gordon Chan.

I think so, you may remember a 1997 movie called Burn Hollywood Burn, about a bad filmmaker called Alan Smithee. Ironically, real director Arthur Hiller had his name removed from the film, to be replaced by Alan Smithee

Two martial arts megastars Jackie Chan (成龍) and Jet Li (李連杰) are one step closer to their first-time collaboration as the story for a new joint project seems to please the pair. The film is said to be about a modern martial arts fighter who falls down a time tunnel and travels back to ancient China to have an adventure with Sun Wu-kung (孫悟空), the Monkey King.

According to the Chinese-language press, both Li and Chan have their eye on the monkey role, so it looks like the duo will have some fighting to do before one of them can show off on the big sceen.

although this sounds "cool", the article LD just posted made it sound like i expected it too be, fighting over who gets the best part...sounds like there will be a lot of egotism in this film, and that could ruin it...it will be interesting to see, but i dont hold out much hope for a amazing movie, it just seems that there will be alot of in fighting about who gets the best parts, the better fights.. etc.but then i could be wrong and it could be totally awesome, we'll see.

oh and i agree...no time travelling shit.

Chow Yun-Fat Might Visit Yuen Woo-Ping's THE GREAT WALL

According to several Chinese newspapers, director Yuen Wo-Ping has invited Chow Yun-Fat to guest star or cameo in his The Great Wall (literal title). The original articles all state that Jet Li has officially joined the project as the lead. Some rumor says Jackie Chan might also land a role in the movie but of cause, it is just a rumor. Yuen Woo-Ping and screenwriter Zou Jingzhi is now working on the script, which is still just a rough storyline. The movie is talking about defending homeland and fighting the nomadic invaders, but according to producers of the movie, the real idea is about keeping peace.
