Leon and Seven almost made it into the top 10. Which 2 haven't you seen? I'm betting you've not seen Lilya 4-ever?
As for ratings - I prefer to rate films out of 10 and all are 8 or above in my books. There are some I'd definitely rate higher than other but the top 3-4 would be impossible to put in any order.
I think you mean Mulholland Drive. Mulholland Falls is a gangster film and not a very good one I hear. The 2 disc Dutch DVD is the way to go with DTS and an hours worth of extras. The French DVD has similar extras but no DTS and forced subs. Most other DVDs are only single disc releases.
p.s - Could you do a top 3 or 5 then?

Cool you've picked Amelie too. I've never heard of After Life before.
I want to see All About Lily Chou-Chou, Magnolia was very good but "possibly" a bit long. Raging Bull is fantastic (but it is a Scorsese film so is to be expected).
Hana-bi was fairly good but then tbh I'm not really a Kitano fan (as a director). I've seen enough of his films to now know this. Zatôichi is my favourite out of the 5 I've seen. I need to give Dolls another go.
Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind is cool, Fight Club is awesome, Irreversible I've not seen but it looks very gratuitously violent and Audition while shocking was too violent for me.

As with everybody else my top 10 also keep on changing. I have the UK disc of "All About Lily Chou-chou" but have yet to watch that film.
Now lemme see... my list includes a lot of recent films which I am surprised about myself. in no particular order it looks something like:
01. Seven Samurai
02. Sonatine
03. OldBoy
04. Memories of Murder
05. The Last Samurai
06. A Moment of Romance
07. The Killer
08. Friend (Chingu)
09. Rocky
10. Infernal Affairs II
Seeing that there are a lot of recent titles here, my list would look like this if they hadn't been released recently.
In no particular order:
01. Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon
02. Once Upon a Time in China
03. The Road Home
04. Scarface
05. City on Fire
06. Beijing Bicycle
07. The Boondock Saints
08. Bullet in the Head
09. Joint Security Area
10. In the Mood for Love

Lilya 4-ever I havent seen, yet! but will
and Mulholland Drive (I always call it falls for some reason) its always appealed to me and I need to buy it, just waited for a good dvd I guess
I adore the 2 lady stars!
for me well top 10 is imposable, I can only say some films that would be around my top 20 or so, its just too hard to single them out
but in my top lots will be
ALIENS
Terminator 2
StarShip Troopers
Seven Samurai
The Thin Red Line
erm will find more later as my dvds are imposable to scan with my eyes as just moved em around
those above all look action film, but I do love many others.
Amelie is one film I cannot understand why anyone could find it perfect, I just must not have got it like others, beleve me I wanted to love it.

Lilya 4-ever is a perfect example of powerful film-making. I was completely emotionally exhausted by the end of it but very pleased I'd see the film. It opened my eyes to child trafficking throughout Europe. Mulholland Drive was my first experience of the world of Lynch and boy was I impressed. Laura Harring is one HOT lady too!
I hate Starship Troopers but am a fan of the rest you've chosen (I've not seen Seven Samurai though). Terminator 2 is the best action film ever made, no other film comes close.

I do think you will love Seven Samurai when you get round to seeing it, its an epic like no other! it makes me want to cry.
Irreversable, well its not all about the 2 BIG nasty scenes in the film, you really need to see it to see what I mean its a beautiful film as it goes on and it defianlty needs to be seen, think Malena but set now and your close
the relationship between Monica and Vincent is pretty much as perfect as you would want in life, guess that why they married.
Starship Troopers is definaly one film which devides people
Verhoven always dpes I guess.

So which is your top ten? You're a big Asian fan aren't you!. I love Asian films to but not exclusively.
No German films?
I hate most German films. They might look good to non-German speakers, but their acting is so bad, especially in dialogue scenes. I like the old German films and there are only a handful of German films I would watch. I quite enjoyed "Lola Rennt" ("Run Lola Run"), but I wouldn't get it on DVD.
The only German film I own on DVD is "kurz und schmerzlos". The funny thing is that the only German thing about this film is that it was partly financed with German money and that it takes place in Hamburg. The director and main star are both Turkish and the other two main stars are Greek and Yugoslavish. I don't know if there is a English subtitled version, but even if you have to download it, you should check that film out.
The funny thing about this is that the Turkish main actor (Mehmet Kurtulus) would be the main lead from the film I am working on now. He's a great actor. Did films in Germany, Turkey, Vietnam, in the USA and soon in HK, too.
Here he is on the cover (in the middle)...

and in a few scenes from the film...

And yes, I'm a really huge fan of Asian cinema. I have 12 drawers of DVDs. Only one drawer holds Hollywood films and it isn't even full. I have all the Bond-films as I love them and I have a few Russian films. Apart from that...? Well, "City of God" is a Brazilian film and "Kops" is a great Sweddish comedy which I also bought. But not many Western films have grabbed me so much that I really had to buy them. The last two US flicks I got were "Butterfly Effect" and "Scent of a Woman" with Al Pacino. I have a few boxsets of US films, like all the gift sets of "Lord of the Rings", "Rocky", "The Godfather", "Indiana Jones", "Back to the Fututre" or "Once Upon A Time in the West".
I think Asian films are way more refreshingly than US films and I love to explore the roots of that by buying the old films. Unfortunately, Asian films don't get theatrical releases in the West (apart from Asian blockbusters), hence you never really know whether to buy a film or not (and I do not download if it isn't really a film out of print and a must-have-watched). With Hollywood-films, I know whether I should get them, because I watch them at the theatre here. The last film I watched at the theatre which made me wanna get it on DVD was "Collateral".

Run Lola Run is great IMO, a lot of fun. "Nowhere in Africa" is very good too but I don't feel the need to rush out and buy it.
You're not a 1920's German film fan? (aka - M, Nosferatu, Metropolis).
So your new film will partially be in Turkish too? Thanks for the info above it was an interesting read.

I second that but I'd add other continents such as Europe (namely France and Spain) and South America (namely Mexico and Brazil) are also as refreshing
So your new film will partially be in Turkish too? Thanks for the info above it was an interesting read.
Thanks! The film won't have any Turkish. Mehmet plays a German guy in the current project. Our make-up guy recently cast his head in gypsum because his mask has to make him look German. Blond hair etc etc. LOL!

There are wonderful French films. The most recent French film I watched was "Ruby & Quentin" with Jean Réno and Gerard Dépardieu. Wonderful comedy. Oh, now I see what you mean, he he he! No, not all, but a lot of them are and Mehmet doesn't necessarily look like he is German, so we need to make him brighter. All hairs on his chest need to be removed as well and the hair on his legs and arms have to be softened and dyed brighter.
Maybe the blond won't look as fitting as we imagine it, but it should by no means look good, as the guy goes through hell in this film and he can't look good.
