Upcoming actionthriller from HK starring Edison Chen.
In the dark and bone-crashing thriller, directed by Soi Cheang (Lover Battlefield, Horror Hotline: Big Head Monster), Dog Bite Dog, Edison Chen plays a young Cambodian hitman being hunted by a sadistic Hong Kong cop, played by Sam Lee, who is determined to revenge his fallen colleagues killed by the hitman. 17 year old Mainland Chinese actress Pei Weiying plays a teenage girl who rescued the badly wounded hitman. The cast also includes Suet Lam, Lai Yiu-Cheung and Cheung Siu-Fai.
OK, given that it is directed by Soi Cheang, whose "Love Battlefield" I just love, this could be interesting. It looks like a very dark film. One to look out for.
But it's Edison Chen who is in it.
(I have to admit though, that he looks less annoying in this one.)
How is Edison annoying? (Sorry I'm unfamilliar with his roles). Though doesnt he play a character in one of the Infernal Affairs movies, like the younger version of Tony Leung?
I´m no Edison fan either, but I have to admit that his performance in "Jiang Hu" wasn´t bad at all. And who knows, maybe Soi Cheang can make an actor out of him...

- The younger Version of Andy Lau´s character. Leung´s younger version was played by Shawn Yue, who in my eyes is even more annoying than Chen.
In my opinion his performance in "Infernal Affairs 2" was the best he ever did, altohugh he didn't do much. Edison Chen is one of the most crappy actors in HK. The girls like him (although this is a complete mystery to me) and hence he gets cast a lot. No one has put it better than the guys at HKFilm.net (LINK) when they say:

I mean look at "The Twins Effect" or "Initial D". Such a whiner.
Shawn Yue is in my opinion by far the better actor of the two.
