Good one there Shen ;)

I got my collector's LoTR Return of The King. All well and good, but I've not received the first two films yet, so I'm not gonna watch this until then. D'oh!

Yeah, I got some DVDs aswell :D (Isn't this thread brutishly long by now?)

Stumbled upon an fnac store while on holiday with my kid and just HAD to go in there... sure it wasn't the cheapest store (it was however the only DVD store I managed to locate on my 5 day stay in France) but given the customs and postage fees I'm pretty sure I saved some bucks anyways :D PLUS I got to take home

BLADE (LE)
BULLET IN THE HEAD
HARD BOILED

all from HK Video... :D

And when I got home... Charmes had sent me the German HARD BOILED aswell... now I'm super pleased :D
So long, and thanks for all the fish!

Ordered a couple of things these last couple of weeks...

First of all I ordered a JVC hifi set for my girlfriend, as hers is broken. I already transfered the money but thy havent shipped it yet. So I might call them tomorrow and see what's up.

Also ordered Dragon Ball vol. 4 from play.com: The series is just so much fucking fun that I cant wait to read all those stories. They really should just release the whole Dragon Ball series on glossy paper and with hard cover, and just release a set for 100 bucks or something. (Like the Calvin and Hobbes set)

Ordered an artbook by the comic artist Alex Ross. It's called Mythology and is of pretty good quality. the softcover version is over 300 good quality glossy pages thick, and only 11 pounds orso at play.com.
Not a huge fan of his style, but still pretty.

Finally, I took a subscription to the digital art magazine ImagineFX. However, no issues have arrived yet, while the newest issue is already in the shops. So that's a bit fucked up and if it hasnt arrived next tuesday orso, I'll send them a few emails ...
Great magazine btw. I bought some in the shop and they were well worth the money as they deal with the stuff I'm interested in, although I'd like a bit more comic/manga/disney artists and such... instead of all the fantasy art...
Anyway, a subscription saves me half the money (a single issue in the shop is 14,50 euro, while 13 issues through subscription is about 90 euros...)

Dont think I've ordered anything else these last few weeks, although I should order a new scanner/printer combi because my HP sucks and I just want to get rid of it and buy a Canon...

Had to wait 50mins before A Scanner Darkly started (top notch film BTW) so I popped into Borders next door for a browse to kill time; ended up buying 5 DVDs.

They had a buy 4 and the 5th is free.
Bought, all are titles that I've been wanting for a while but didn't buy cuz they were too expensive before:-
R4 Heat SE - $20
R4 Once Upon a Time in America - $20
R4 Citizen Kane SE - $20
R4 Millennium Actress (native PAL w/ Japanese DTS 6.1) - $25
R4 Monty Python's Meaning of Life SE - free

Also got a $20 Borders gift voucher for my birthday from a mate, am yet to use yet. Might get John Ford's She Wore a Yellow Ribbon.

R4 Jim Jarmusch Collection 1 featuring Down By Law (ALL extras from the Criterion + native-PAL transfer), Stranger Than Paradise and Night on Earth. Madman have done a fantastic job with this set. Only cost $32NZD too (after using a 25% off coupon + a $20 gift voucher) - which is a bit less than the Down By Law Criterion. 8)
