You have got to lay off the booze, woman! I'll remain your driver, but that's only cos I know your drunk ass needs help, and I don't abandon people in need. :D
the68monkey wrote:#71 - I can't tell you that. It's of the highest security level.
Nope, no clue. Although am I right in thinking that a former Batman is being marched by the multi-racial Nazis? Certainly looks like Gay Perry.
the68monkey wrote:#72 - Oh, come on! Have you never seen a film with that actor who got caught with a prostitute in his car?
Not really, so you'll have to stop using him as a clue! :P :D
the68monkey wrote:#74 - You'll have to ask Tom about this one. I couldn't have gotten it without his help (at the beginning of this thread).
TOOOOOOOM!! HEEEEEELLP!
the68monkey wrote:#79 - This film has the world's most incredible assassin in it. ;)
Now that's a clue I can get behind! :D

OK, the new batch in the 80s: Nos. 82, 85 and 89 please! :D

Desperate, aren't ya ?

#74, right ?
France... 1980... Teenage cult classic.
That's the same clue I gave Bobbi. :)
I used to be "the man who loves the movies you hate".
Now I'm just "that weird french guy with a cat avatar who comes to BnB once a year for no reason and then disappears again".

I was only shouting so you'd hear me :P

And I know what the original clue was. Didn't help. I need more. A lot more. :)

It IS Gay Perry. Now go back and read my clue again. You should get it.

And as for #72, it's directed by a man who is rather highly regarded on this forum.

#82 - Ooooo, this is a film-noir CLASSIC! Hint: what's one of the girls on the bed doing? ;)

#85 - Hmm, not a really well-known title, but as Njaal said to me, the title is kind of the opposite of that more well-known film about Africa.

#89 - Divorce is so hard on the little ones, isn't it?

Oh, and about #74, the girl is really young in that shot (as Tom let you know by the date). She's probably more well-known for rather revealing slip of her dress in Cannes one year. ;)

Your strict, disclipinarian method of teaching has born fruit. Sorry Miss, I was just being stupid before.
the68monkey wrote:And as for #72, it's directed by a man who is rather highly regarded on this forum.
I tried the film with the P's, when it's actually the one with the S's. D'oh!
the68monkey wrote:#82 - Ooooo, this is a film-noir CLASSIC! Hint: what's one of the girls on the bed doing? ;)
You could've said that she should've been fatter to more appropriately fit the title :D
the68monkey wrote:#85 - Hmm, not a really well-known title, but as Njaal said to me, the title is kind of the opposite of that more well-known film about Africa.
Fumbling with that one :?
the68monkey wrote:#89 - Divorce is so hard on the little ones, isn't it?
Sorry, I'd got this first time round; it's quite odd that the fighters would have similar names ;). No, I actually meant No. 90, but whilst we're at it... 92 and 97, as well as 90 need me clued into them...
the68monkey wrote:Oh, and about #74, the girl is really young in that shot (as Tom let you know by the date). She's probably more well-known for rather revealing slip of her dress in Cannes one year. ;)
I should know that. It involves (by the sounds of things) the slipping off of a dress... dammit! :D

#90 - This is a difficult one that you might not know. The character's name is on the back wall. ;) And LD might be able to help you understand what she's saying sometimes. ;)

#92 - There's a spelling error here in the first word, which kept me from getting it right away. Zoom up to 400% and look at that guy's profile. Come on, you know who that is.

#97 - Hmmm, what can I say. The lead actress was also in that film with the S's.

Well, I'm guessing it ain't the Lola with the red hair ;)

Dammit, I'm not using the zoom enough.

Well, #97 isn't an Austen. It's written by a MAN! And an Englishman at that!
(btw, he also wrote #206)

That's how badly I don't know that film :D
Got #206, so I know where the source material came from. I don't want to try out random films though...

And as for the actress in #90 and #188, I've got a possibility, but it's not helping narrow down the film any :(

In the 100s, there's only one: 109, but this seemingly good run of films is spoiled by the 110s: 112, 113, 114, 117, 118 and 119 all elude me.

#109 - Hmmm, there aren't that many films with giants in them. The film has lots of other quirkiness in it, too, as is typical for this talented director.

#112 - Oh, that's a classic, too. We're talking English history here!

#113 - Well, it's one of those films that looks back on childhood events, if that helps at all.

#114 - That's a cult classic. Look at the guy on the right. Do you recognize his nose? It's rather distinctive, which is probably why he doesn't venture into countries where he might be recognized.

#117 - Oh, come on! Surely you've sung along with them at SOME point in your childhood!

#118 - If you had six more, you'd have them all.

#119 - Didn't I just read that you watched 12 Angry Men recently? Then you should recognize the driver of that truck. :) The film is based on a great work of literature.

Whats the spelling of No 6? I know what the movie is, it stars an actress who recently appeared in a film based upon a book ;)

OK, cos I've got nothing better to do :( and I can't sleep  , I'll ask for clues to this except in a different order.
From the last 50, I can't get: 260, 263, 265, 271, 273, 282, 291, 292, 294 and 300.

Any assistance?

Help has arrived! (Although later than you wanted it. :( )

#260 - Think mutant baby and lots and lots and lots of theatrical blood. (Personally, I have not seen this one and don't really care to see it)

#263 - Do you recognize the smaller of the two actresses? In this film, she makes a documentary about life after college, only to have a sleazy corporate love interest take it and re-edit it into a wretched, MTV-style clip ready to be marketed. Gen-X angst. Hmmm, maybe that plot synopsis was too much information.

#265 - One of the guys in this film was also the star of #291. Oh, wait. You don't have #291, either. :P Well, let's just say he doesn't make films in the English language. See where you can go with that. But a hint: Both films are from the past 5 years.

#271 - A tale that keeps on going like that damn energizer bunny in the commercials.

#273 - Those boys might want to wear some garlic around their necks.

#282 - Don't you recognize that British beauty in one of her earlier roles? Don't be fooled by the innocent look of those two teenaged girls. And Kurgan, I have to say I'm a bit surprised. Didn't you just receive the LotR trilogy? Yet you haven't gotten this film, or #270, which was made a couple of years before it? ;)

#291 - See #265 above

#292 - Oooo, another film-noir classic! Same star as #82

#294 - This is a tough one, but zoom in and look what's behind the unsuspecting, beautiful teenaged girl. Yikes!

#300 - From a deranged, yet acclaimed, director. Not his most famous film, but rather well-known. To make it extra frustrating, the quiz maker has put an extra lower-case "L" in there by mistake.

OK, these are the ones I have left.
You don't have to 'clue me' for all of them, all at once, they're just there listed there :)

Right, from the first 50, the ones I don't know are: 30, 36, 46, 49.
51-100: 57, 67, 74, 85, 90, 97.
101-150: 109, 112, 113, 114, 117, 118, 119, 123, 126, 128, 131, 136, 137, 141, 144, 149 (I didn't feel good after looking at this block of 50 :D).
151-200: 154, 161, 171, 175, 181, 182, 188, 195.
201-250: 211, 220, 225, 233, 240, 244, 245.
251-300: 260, 263, 265, 292, 294.

As for your previous clues 68M, I recognise all but one of the cast in #263, but it still doesn't help :(
As for your clue on #265: I don't need to be mocked in that way, thankyouverymuch. :D

Hey, wait, I told you about #270! :D

Madam, apparently you and I differ greatly in what we think of as beauty! :P

I knew I was right about 300 :D Damn speeling mistakes! ;)

Let me go work on some clues for you, Kurgan. :D While I'm at it, why don't you go play the latest point and click game that Markgway added to his thread. It might help you with one of the screengrabs on this quiz. ;)
Kurgan wrote:OK, these are the ones I have left.

123, 126, 128, 131, 136, 137, 141, 144, 149
#123 - Another classic B&W film, named after a woman who never appears in the film.

#126 - Disney film about the ___________ and the _____________. :P

#128 - WONDERFUL Irish film, one of my favorites, about a lottery ticket. :)

#131 - One of those loooong Merchant Ivory productions. *yawn*

#136 - Well, if that actress were the actual age the character is supposed to be, I imagine the film would be banned in most countries. ;)

#137 - Two beings stranded on a lonely planet . . .

#141 - Try the exact same clue I gave you for #92

#144 - Probably the role she's most famous for, although she's more well-known as the daughter of a deceased film legend.

#149 - Oh, I think you must know this one. It also stars "the Dude."

I'll work on some more clues later today. :)

Right, where were we? Oh yes, the 151-200 batch. :D

#154 - Oh, no! It's the quicked ween, I mean, the wicked queen! :P You know that rule in English about making an "f" a "v" when it's plural? Forget it for the title of this film. :?

#161 - Hmmm, I wouldn't have gotten this if my kids hadn't watched it not too long ago. There's only ONE of these things left, as far as the film is concerned. I hope that helps.

#171 - Made by one of the greatest directors alive today, who happens to make his films in Spain.

#175 - Zoom in. What's different about that guy on the table, compared to the men surrounding the table? Could it be his ____________?

#181 - I hate it when they do a B&W grab of a film that's in color! Who is that guy in the big Russian hat showing his papers? Why, he's a prolific Egyptian actor who happens to still be alive. ;)

#182 - ooo, I'm teaching the book that film is based on next fall. :D Well, they aren't indoors, they're __________________. LOADS of brat pack guys in this film.

#188 - I'll give you a hint. She's not testifying for the defense. ;)

#195 - Oh, you can't be serious! Why, that guy in the suit of armor is THE best detective ever! (NOT!) Okay, so this is the first of a series of popular films, and probably the best one. :)

I had it right! I had followed correct grammatical rules though . The number of Disney witch-featuring films I'd gone through...

I'd typed the name in using the abbreviated form and more to do with the clue for #154 I decided to think differently. :D

I wish I'd zoom in more often. I couldn't tell it was the crazy German cast-off after the Second World War and given a job in US Defence without zooming in
