Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle Teaser Trailer is Up

Post by slasher13 »

Hey there,

The TMNT new movie teaser trailer is up, check out the direct link on: http://images.apple.com/movies/wb/teena ... _h640w.mov

Right click on this and save it.

Looks very nice, the turtles are really well done, however there is something 'wrong' with them??? I can't quite say why it is.

hey,

well, they done that evil look not apparent in the cartoon and later live action film. Still, isn't this way behind its time or has there been a resurrection of these characters that I just missed?

Either way, teaser trailer did nothing for me.

Well there's been the recent animated series which is closer to the comic than the original cartoon.

Hmmm... didn't look that good, but the end of the teaser reminded me of the good old TMNT. That was good to see.

Looks impressively animated... though perhaps too cartoony for my tastes. The way the Turtles leap over the rooftops reminds me of the CGI from Spider-Man. I'd like something a little bit more realistic. It's hard to get involved in the story when everything your seeing screams fake. Release is a long way off so I'm sure opinions will changed between now and then.

I was thinking the same. It looks darker, maybe.

I thought the animated series (the new one) was pretty damn impressive. I liked how it stayed closer to the source material... and the Turtles' image was smart (keeping the eyes totally white, no pupils - like the comic).

However as Mark says, whilst the CGI looks neat - the Turtles themselves look a little too childish... they just need to tipex out the eyes and it'll be ok.

Uhm yeah, an animated film... looks too animated? Too cartoonish? Not realistic?

The original turtles comic was a lot darker as well.

Real trailer now up

Looks promising. I especially like the character design for the human characters: They didnt go for a 'realistic' look, but more for a Ramos-style comocbook look, which I like.
It does look a bit dark though. Alot of night-time scenes and sewer-scenes obviously...

I was there, the big BNB blackout of november, 2008. We lost many that day...

I've just seen the film. It's not bad... not partiuclarly great either.

I like the bit when they fight on the rooftop.

Can't wait to see it next week. I was a huge Turtles fan as a kid and this looks like a fun nostalgic trip down memory lane. :)

Review is up on DVDTimes, see here. Even the reviewer enjoyed it, looks like they made a direct sequel to the 1st movie only, and sounds bloody good :)

I like the style but I think the storyline is a little weak. Fun little film though.
