Excellent news. I heard that they went all "Evil Dead 2" for the sequel (haven't seen it).

TCM2 is rather lightweight and silly, further compromised by studio interference - Cannon, no less. But it has its moments

No, the studio headed in the 80's by that Dynamic Duo Golan And Globus. Also responsible for classics like Lifeforce, America 3000, Masters Of The Universe, Invasion USA and all those ninja movies...

No offence, but those are your idea of "classics"?

I was being sarcastic - though a lot of them are good fun in the right mood

Hey commentaries are better than most films :) I am not like your average person you see, as I listen to them at work on my MP3 player so I get to listen to hundreds, in fact every single film I watch I listen to the commentary at work now :) very enjoyable and passes the time very well and some I listen to a lot as they are that good :)

But I want to see it as I have never seen it, if its bad I can always sell.

Hey how do you extract commentaries to MP3? Do you record them in real time?

I use a programme called #1 DVD Audio Ripper :) takes a while, but it is good for sticking sound on your MP3 player to listen away from a TV.

Horrordvds.com has a review of it and there are screen captures to compare. I think it looks ten times better! :D

HOLY SHIT, the difference is night and day! Don May Jr. is a God IMO, if that's the result of restoration supervised by him.

He's on the boards at horrordvds and he did supervise the new transfer. It's amazing how much better the movie looks. It's clean but still maintains the grain.

Cool, I'd heard that Don May Jr. has a large pressence on the web. Eg he has a Myspace apparently.
