So do I it makes the film look really interesting and exciting. It get the feeling the message is "listen between the lines and you'll understand, language and cultural differences don't need to stop you".
It also seems to suggest that the two Americans are being portrayed as considering their cultural somehow superior (American as in Western). I could be reading to much into a trailer.

I received R2UK 21 Grams today, hope to watch it in the weekend.
Wow, just watched the Babel trailer and that looks amazing, that looks like it certainly warrants a cinema screening from me.
EDIT: Bah! Not out in the UK til Jan 07 (source: DVDtimes), so it'll prolly be a longer wait til it reaches my shores.
IMDB says that Amores Perros, 21 Grams and Babel are supposed to be a trilogy. Hmmm, makes sense - but it's probably just some Tardis making shit up (as is often the case on the IMDB) and rather than what Innarritu has said.
Hmmm, why do you think Universal sublicence their "Focus Pictures" label films outside of the US? Like in the UK:- "Broken Flowers" is distributed by Momentum and "21 Grams" by Sony. In R4 land, both of those are distributed by Village Roadshow.
It's a bit strange that Romero will see 21 Grams but not Amores Perros. I don't see why it being made in Mexico and in the Spanish language instantly "makes it shit". Innarritu looks to have had complete freedom on both films after all.

Thanks. Where does DVD Times tell you cinema release dates? Not out in the UK til Jan 07 (source: DVDtimes)
Bollocks. 21 Grams and Amores Perros aren't that's for sure. They do share a very similar style but that doesn't remotely make them a trilogy.IMDB says that Amores Perros, 21 Grams and Babel are supposed to be a trilogy.
Exactly, exactly and exactly. Double standards. No doubt Romero will deny saying he said he won't touch South American films (which he did). It's a bit strange that Romero will see 21 Grams but not Amores Perros.
