Quick question about DVDSoon.

Post by degeneration »

I'm wanting to buy the Babylon 5 movies boxset on R1 and DVDsoon are the cheapest that I can find.

But the price is over £18.

Are they customs safe? Will I get stung?

Cheers from the reply... looks like it'll have to be ebay for it then...

or

Are there any DVDSoon members here who have done that membership thingy so get cheaper prices who would get it for me, ship it to me, and I'll pay you back??

Member price is CAD$37.58 which is about £16 (which includes shipping). If you can buy them then get them shipped to me, I'll pay you, say, £18 or so in total, giving you a little profit for your trouble?? If you can only get it shipped to your own address, if you then reship it to me which I guess will cost about £2, I'll pay you the extra shipping amount on top as well.

i'm a fidelity card member.for some reason dvdsoon show the original price rather than member's price so you'd still get stung.

Try and convince CD WOW they should stock it. It worked for me.

It's £32 from Play who I think are customs safe but for £10 more I'd risk it.

Isn't that £7 more or £6 if you use a voucher. Would the customs charge be about £8 so it maybe still worth going with DVD Soon.

I thought Play were for R1 interesting.

current member price from soon is around £16 but it would be marked at £19 odd so prob a £8 customs hit + £16 + £2 for posting on he'd still save a quid or so but not worth the hassle imo.play haven't been customs friendly for region 1 for a while, not since they split into playusa. and just checked movietyme.com, £24.99 and customs friendly.
