It was all last month. I had 2 teeth from the back top, and a wisdom one out. Also had 3 fillings. It cost me £40 as the price structure has changed now. I also work full time, so didn't get discount or anything.

40 pounds isnt bad, considering Slasher's 1 filling costs 100 pounds, which is absolutely ludicrous.
Personally i never had a problem with going to the dentist, as I had never any problems, untill suddenly he had to fill 3 holes! That was quite a shock. The last couple of times I've been ok though. Only had to re-do an old filling. Brushing with an electric toothbrush really seems to help.
I dont have any wisdom teeth coming through (yet?) Sounds like a real bitch though...

Mark, I truly know what you mean, that why I sh*t scared at the moment. My experience was that i had to have a teeth pulled out when I was seven/eight years old. I was fighting the dentist, and had to be restrainted, my father got called in, hoping to calm me down, finally they yanked out my teeth. I don't remember all of it, just the end part, my father still remembers it to this day, he said i was really screaming alot and trying to get out.Markgway wrote:I'm terrified of the Dentist.
Bad experiences when I was a kid.
After that i'm just really scared, but i need to go back to the dentist to repair my teeth.

Why did you need your tooth removed as a kid? Just a milk/baby tooth?
I once had a baby tooth that had to come out, so my (ex) uncle put his hands over my face, asked which one it was, then pushed his thumb in my cheek and the tooth was popped out.
Dont worry though, years later I broke his nose when he was just coming out of the hospital after it was already broken and 'fixed' there.

Hey Yi, I have no idea, I think it could possible be the baby tooth. Ouch, on your experience. When it came out, do you remember if it hurt alot, when the dentist took it out, it did, and can remember blood coming out alot, but after that it all fuzzy.Yi-Long wrote:Why did you need your tooth removed as a kid? I had 12 teeth out when I was about 9 or 10.
8 and then 4.
The first time I got gas. It made me really sick. I was puking up blood into a carrier bag. Days later I fainted at school because of an after effect (I guess some of the gas had stayed in my lungs or something?)
The second time I took the needle. The anesthesiologist stuck the needle in my arm (my arms were chubby then and he had trouble finding a vein) and hit a damn nerve causing the needle to pop out. Blood started trickling out my vein. I was somewhat fucking upset. Not least because he had to stick it back in. When it was over I couldn't wake up. I could hear everyone talking but I was paralysed. I couldn't move or talk. They had to carry me out until I came to. Scary shit.

No it didnt hurt that much I believe. I think I was actually kinda relieved that he had just popped it out like that, how onorthodox that method might beslasher13 wrote:Hey Yi, I have no idea, I think it could possible be the baby tooth. But we all lose all our baby teeth when we're kids, dont we? But I've never been to the dentist for it. We either wait for them to drop out by themselfs, or whan they're really loose we (my parents) yanked them out...
It was never very painfull though, I believe. Sure there's some blood and a nasty gap... plus you look butt-ugly with half your teeth missing... but I dont remember ever being in lots of pain over losing some baby teeth.

You're all a bunch of pussies (no offense Shen).
I took the needle like a man.
In four visits, I think I was jabbed at least 12 times with the needle. At one point, tears were streaming down my face.
I didn't go private, it was NHS. £40 odd quid for the treatment is cheap IMO. Private could cost hundreds.
I have two new wisdom teeth that have come through over the last few years.

I was just wondering....
Superman is SUPERSTRONG right? He can break practically EVERYTHING in the WHOLE world...
Plus... Superman is pretty much invincible to almost everything... right...!?
So... could Superman break his own pinky? (without the aid of Kryptonite)

But Superman without the sun isnt technically superman anymore, issit? as he would have less power, thus be less super... he'd be OK-guy or something. Not Super anymore...
So ofcourse we're talking about him at full health here on earth, with all his powers intact...
I really dont think I can go to bed at peace, while this question is still hovering around in my head...

I've just discovered that my best friend, whom I've known through school, is gay. He's been gay for 3 years and I'm the last to know about it. I'm so surprised.
Everyone I've introduced him to has come back to me and asked (even insisted) if my friend was gay. I'd just laugh and say, "Look I've known him since we were kids. I know him better than you. He's not gay, trust me."
You can imagine that I feel like such an idiot. I've spoken to him about girls, made gay jokes etc... and I had never once suspected. I knew he was camp (even I admit, I act camp around him sometimes)... but to not even be bi...? I don't get it.
He's still my best mate tbh.

Overly gay tendencies... like you know how gays can behave if they're really really over the top? I guess that's camp or something... if you fake that or exegerate(SP?) that.thelostdragon wrote:What is "camp"?
Some people you just KNOW that they are gay. Very often you already know they are gay before THEY know they're gay. There was a very big guy at Kung Fu, 2 meters and fat and all that, but man he was efeminate (SP?) so everyone already had a feeling. Hell... it wasnt even a feeling, we just knew. But he didnt know yet or he wasnt ready to know/admit yet...
But years later he's kinda coming out for it, and you'll have to act all surprised and stuff ...
'Wow... you're gay? wow... I had no idea...(!)'
