Yeah, I had been playing pretty much non-stop in my free time until about 3 days ago. Now I'm stuck in the sewers on Chapter 10 & have no idea where to go...

It is pretty easy until you get to the last challenge mode; I think it's called the Pro mode. That's when it gets hard...

Played Ninja Gaiden again tonight. first I kept fighting the 3 zombies in the pit with the blue/red door over and over again, just so I'd get enough 'money' to keep buying extra's, like lifes and health etc. When I had all that stuff maxed-out, I went to see Alma. Before fought her though, I went into the library room, where I had to fight a zillion foes, which really wasnt nice at all. The kept re-appearing and re-appearing. it was a real bitch of a fight, but i hang in there and kept slaughtering them, losing some life along the way... and finally I had killed them all and it gave me a lousy suitcase with i think one of those blue orbs!? Not sure, but i was pretty dissapointed cause it was such a long and hard battle that I would have liked something a bit more special.

Anyway, after that i went to see Alma. As expected she gave me alot of trouble, but using a lot of Ninpo and some mid air slices, I managed to defeat her (although pretty much all my health is gone)

After i beat her, saw a nice lil CGI movie, then went outside (picked up the warhammer) and have fought a bunch of soldiers. came to the bridge where there where a bunch of tanks from which a lot of soldiers came. Anyway, i died there and then quit playing, as I'll try again probably tomorrow.

ABout Rallisport: Some nice levels in that game, but I'm dissapointed that there are no Asian countries. i would have liked some japanese levels as they're also in Colin McRae...

Whizzing through Astro Boy surprisingly fast (I'm on Chapter 7 of the 1st saga "Birth") but I still have the "Re-Birth" saga to do and the game apparently has lots of replay value. I'm on the "World's Strongest Robots" Chapter and the first one, North, keeps kicking my ass every time I attack him.

Help??

You encountered the first of the optional Fiend Challenges IIRC, you get some good items by clearing the later ones (see a FAQ to know where they are).

Anyway, after that i went to see Alma. As expected she gave me alot of trouble, but using a lot of Ninpo and some mid air slices, I managed to defeat her (although pretty much all my health is gone)

Yeah, she's a really tough bitch the first time you encounter her. The 2nd time she's a piece of piss (kiwi slang for really easy).

After i beat her, saw a nice lil CGI movie, then went outside (picked up the warhammer) and have fought a bunch of soldiers. came to the bridge where there where a bunch of tanks from which a lot of soldiers came. Anyway, i died there and then quit playing, as I'll try again probably tomorrow.

The warhammer is rubbish, so don't bother spending your cash to upgrade it. Be sure to buy the Dabilahro and max out that, that comes in really handy with some later bosses and the big tough dinosaur fiends. Before you leave that Vigoorian city you'll want to pick up the Windmill Shuriken, which is another very useful weapon. You need to buy and max out the Vigoorian Flails as well, which infinitely useful when fighting flying fiends and skeletons later on and can be stringed together to produce massive combos.

Never heard about any optional fiend challenges before. On the one hand I wouldn mind avoiding them in the future, but on the other had it was pretty challenging and satisfying once they stopped re-spawning

I just played against Alma again, trying to get a bit of a hang for her attacks and all that, looking to see what works best in which occasions. Basically just practicing I guess. It went OK but I did die, basically because I was a bit too lazy when it came to recharging my health...

I really like the boss fights in this game. It's nice to save right before them, so when you have 10-15 minutes to spare, you can practice a bit

I already picked up the windmill shuriken earlier in the game, ioppositie Han's bar there's an alley and when you do a bunch of running wall jumps you can reach an area where it's 'hidden'. Havent found it all that usefull though.
The exploding shuriken are nice, especially against those archers in the blue-red eye rooms...

Vigoorian Flails are already upgraded to it's max (2) and indeed very usefull. Not sure about the Warhammer as you said. it seems a bit slow and heavy, and I prefer the quicker weapons. But i'll put some practice in and might grow to like it.

I really like the game so far. Cant believe a shitty game like Halo/Halo 2 gets such massive hype and sells so much, while this is a much MUCH better and more entertaining game.
Peter Jackson should be makinga Ninja Gaiden movie instead of an Halo movie, although I'm curious to see what he'll do with the sci-fi genre (which i'm not all that fond off)

Plus Ninja Gaiden and Ryu should be Microsoft's flagship, instead of that lame Master Chief...

Don't bother with the Warhammer, use the Dabilahro which is also a heavy & slow weapon. The maxed out Dabilahro is the most powerful weapon in the game and deals serious damage. You can kill the Red Dragon fiends with just 3 swings of that and useful against some of the later bosses.

I strongly suggest that you buy that move scroll which teaches you the move where you to wall-run and hit Y (forget what it's called), infinitely useful move - it beheads with a single strike most weaker enemies like soldiers; those fiends that pop out the ground with claws (all colour variants); Black Spider ninja.

I really like the game so far. Cant believe a shitty game like Halo/Halo 2 gets such massive hype and sells so much, while this is a much MUCH better and more entertaining game.

Ninja Gaiden (and DOA) are flagship franchises in Japan at least, they're probably the most popular Xbox properties in Japan - all 8 Japanese Xbox owners have a copy of NG1.

I look forward to NG2 on 360. (along with Mass Effect, Too Human and Halo 3).

I don't have any console and my PC is relatively ancient (AMD athlon XP 1800+), so I'm not able to play the newest stuff. Anyway, just got the Baldur's Gate compilation (BG I & II + addons) for ~£10 from Play.com. Should satisfy my gaming needs for awhile.

I'm at level 13 or something now. Just beat Alma (2nd incarnation) but I'll redo it as I lost quite some health beating her.

This game is just lots of fun, but I didnt really like the ice and fire caves. They do nothing for me. I'm also not all that fond of the whole european setting. I would have preferred a more asian look to the game.

Gameplay is 10 outta 10 no doubt. The camera is a bit crappy at times, but not enough to deduct a point. replay value also seems very high, although I havent actually replayed it yet...

The dynamic camera really drove me up the wall at times, especially in the trainyard with flying robot drones. Have you got NG Black or NG+Hurricane Pack 1? They introduced a freely manipulatable camera. I couldn't get the Hurricane Packs as I lack Live and can't go on it anyway as my Xbox is modded and have a patched copy (to make it uncensored) of the original censored PAL version. I have NG Black. I also had the original NG but that kept crashing...
I never use the new camera with the click. I always just use the R-shoulder trigger.

Those robot-drones in the trainyard caused me no problems whatsoever. I just kept standing where I stood when they came out, and threw that big windmill shuriken at them. Then I ran to the other side of the trainyard, and stood under a thingy, and they just came from the front so i didnt have to adjust anything. Just had to throw my windmill shuriken ...

I do hate them when I'm in the water though. Then they can be a bitch... untill I found out you can just shoot at them with the speargun... but I only found that out with the last few of them

Ow yeah... it's nice that when you arrive at Alma 2, you can also just take a shot with an explosive arrow at Rachel.

Nah, I was refering to the platform jumping. The robot drones were easy.

Ow yeah, the platforming bit was extremely irritating. You're absolutely right. I did use the right thumb stick for that one I think, as well as in the tombs where you hae to get past those swinging spikey balls...
Never clicked the r-thumbstick though. Just use it to line up...

Well I've finished Ninja Gaiden Black a couple of days ago & now I'm working my way through the Mission mode. Some of them are so easy, even on Master Ninja difficulty, but some I am finding extremely difficult.

I've completed 8 out of the 50 so far...

RE4 is fucking awesome. BTW if you have trouble with any bosses you can always buy the uber expensive rocket launcher and kill them with one shot.

First of: CONGRATULATIONS MONKEY OF IRON! Well done. It's a tough game so I'm sure you're proud of yourself...

I just re-did that Alma 2 part again, and it really shows how great this game is and why I love it. It's because no matter how hard an opponent seems, after a while you'll figure him/her out, anticipate, adjust, etc etc... and just beat the shit out of it. Now I killed Alma 2 having used only 2 big health potions and some Ninpo. Still have all my lifes maxed out

On RE4: I'm still waiting on it to go down in price! Most shops still charge 50-60 euro for this game, even though it's been out for 2 years orso...
It's annoying....

Well just reached the end of level 15 I believe. I finished both Goku ghost as well as The Devil himself (yeah.. I'm bigger then God) and now I'm on the brink of entering level 16.

However... I only have 47 scarabs... so I must have missed a few, and TBH I'd like to have them all and go talk to that old guy to give them to him, so I'll unlock the classic ninja gaiden game...
So that sucks as obviously I dont know where they could be... so I'll have to backtrack...

Ah well, I'll probably be able to finish the game sunday night, when my girl has gone back home...

Download the SNES rom of Ninja Gaiden Trilogy, it's a 16-bit remake of the NES originals and looks way better than NES roms included with Ninja Gaiden Xbox.
