I blind-ordered it last night from Deepdiscountdvd, merely becuz it's ridiculously cheap for a 5-disc LE (I wish that Criterion and Masters of Cinema had reasonable pricing too). The film supposedly goes down the toilet in the 2nd half (cuz they ran out of money), but the first half is reportedly excellent. The cinematography is supposed to be beautiful too.

Hi Grim, Yes that the one... :)

Are you not into Horror movie? I just love all kind of horror movies, it my favorite genre, even if the storyline is stupid - ala Friday the 13th series, it the guilty pleasure of it.

I have not seen this film, and maybe Eva and Saltysam, may say different, but I think it's not a true horror movie, but has horror elements, as well as different other genre in the movie. At least this is what the review suggests.
