Crank - Jason "Transporter" Statham

Post by brooce-leroy »

I couldn't find an existing thread on this, so here we are. All I want to say is this looks awesome. I was going to see Miami Vice but this is where it's at for me this weekend. Can't wait. It's been getting good reviews all over the place too.

Dude, do a double-bill!
I mean, I'm gonna watch this too, but don't deny yourself the Vice! ;)

Saw it, and putting it mildy ITS BLOODY BRILLIANT! Probibly beats The Transporter films (which I adore) as its just pure unbelevable balls to the wall fun. I cannot see anyone not loving this film.

I want to see this film but once again, the distributors are racist against Aberdonians and not screening it here. Why is the world cruel with such discrimination?

I watched it today, and whilst I really enjoyed it, I would say it's not quite BLOODY BRILLIANT!. Don't get me wrong, it was great fun, but I would have to say I like The Transporter better. Although I don't know if this is a film I would be in a hurry to watch again, it is one hell of a ride!

romero, what happens after the end credits (in spoiler mode of course). I was actually tempted to stay to see if there was anything, but didn't.... :(

I think its probibly the best film of this year so far, and I have seen a lot of films good, bad a crapo.

Crank is pure, 100% rock hard action all the way, its nothing at all like The Transporter in any way at all. Its just balls to the walls breathless fun with many very shocking moments that will make you go mmmm.

The end scenes are a old style blocky game of the film with mini Jason going around in a scrolling beat em up/shoot em up and he kicks some bad guy ass! as he was a games designedr in the film (ahem!) it is clever I guess, it looks like the credits at the start, very old shool.

They could easily make a porno parody of this - since "Crank" rhymes with "Wank"; the plot about "a man who has to keep his adrenaline levels high or he dies" and all.

R1 Cover:-

It's okay. I like it a lot better than the shit UK cover, which is cluttered to hell; good tagline though.
