Texas Chain Saw Massacre Custom

Post by Keung »

My friend is buying the new R1 Ultimate DVD and he doesn't like the DVD cover it comes with so he's asked me to make one for him. Here's what I've got so far, any comments or suggestions?

I'm stuck at the moment.....I decided to go with the old Betamax front cover type and just mess around with it a little.

Here's what the old Betamax looked like.

Just need a couple of quotes from Paul Ross, News of the World to make it look like a genuine UK DVD cover.

Nah seriously, that's one sexy cover.

He does, he says he's not bothered for the tin (what the hell is wrong with him?) He says he just wants a cover making so he can put it in an amaray case.

Here's a Rossy quote for your cover:

"A tantalisingly taut tense terrifying thrilling tornado of a film!"

On a more serious note, you thought of leaving the back plain white like the Beta cover and just adding some grimy blood drops over it and then add the text like on the Beta cover?

The title on the spine needs to be bigger in my opinion. I don't like it when titles are crushed into place on the thin spine of a DVD case. Its going to be even worse on BD & HD-DVD considering they use thinner cases...

I suggest flattening out the words so that they are on one line, not stacked like they are now.

How about studio logos? And a region logo? Dolby Digital? What about a credit list on the bottom of the back cover?
