Logan's Run remake :-D
If there ever was a film that needed a remake "Logan's Run" is it. The original is a classic but looks very dated and the script is a bit ropey in places.

LOL I wasn't old enough to see it at the cinema just on TV.
Speaking of old classics need decent releases (DVD this time): Demon Seed is an excellent 70's horror flick which has no DVD release:
Scientist Alex Harris, doing research on artificial intelligence, is working on a special kind of computer. This computer grows more and more powerful, and succeeds in raping the scientist's wife, Susan Harris. In the end she gives birth to a hybrid baby.

Here ya go Brad.
Singer To Pass On Logan?
Superman Returns director Bryan Singer may not direct his much-anticipated remake of Logan's Run, Variety reported.
Warner Brothers and producer Joel Silver want to start shooting Logan this fall, meaning that Singer would have to shoot it and the expected sequel to this summer's Superman Returns back to back, the trade paper reported.
But Singer probably won't make an official decision about Logan's Run until after Superman Returns premieres on June 30.
If it hits, Warner plans to start shooting the sequel in the later part of 2007, with Singer again at the helm, the trade paper reported.
Even if he doesn't direct Logan's Run, Singer is still likely to play some sort of role and perhaps take a producer's credit. Silver has been developing the project for some time now, with input from Singer.

It's probably from syndicated masters then. For syndication in the US, shows typically get cut down by a few minutes so that they can fit in more ads and feature-length episodes are divided into multiple-parters.bradavon wrote:I was thinking the same. I thought I'd just record the pilot. It's annoyingly into 2 parts, the second a week later.

I saw the first half the other night. It looks and feels exactly the same as the movie but with a smaller budget.
I'll watch the second half this Friday but after that I won't both. The film is a classic mind you; a classic that is sorely needing a remake. There was loads more in the book apparently (no surprise there).
As good as it is it's very dated.
