Yeah, the EIV is a port, and Fox originally distributed Pts 1, 4 & 5 in the UK.
4 was cut to remove nunchakus, but 1 & 5 were the unrated versions.
I have the original sell-thru tape for 1. Great poster cover art. They should have reused it for the DVD.
Pts 2 & 3 were originally released by Warner Bros.
6 by Guild, 7 by Rank.
Now New Line has them all back in the UK thru EIV.
Nightmare on Elm street and Final Destination 3

Interesting...
I checked my uncut CBS/FOX tape (1988) for the scene where Nancy's dreams are monitored.
Now unless I'm mistaken the tape's colour grading is different to BOTH of New Line's DVD transfers!
The old NL disc has a reddish hue, the new a blueish hue; but my old tape has natural lighting, which comes from the window, and no primary hues. Instead of being tinted red or blue, Nancy's skin is regular pale-white, as she appears throughout the movie. If you check the scene you'll see that it's broad daylight outside. As this tape was taken from the original cinema version, it should be the "correct" look, unless Wes Craven has since made changes. I can't post caps unfortunately, but if anyone else has the uncut tape perhaps they can back me up?
