For £5.89 it's far from shit. EIV are usually awful but their LOTR sets have all been decent.

It may make a good X-Mas present.

I owned all of the UK releases, 2 and 4 dvd versions, and now own the Region 3 versions.

Its shit for one BIG reason, EIV released it. End of Story, even if its 15p its still shit to me if EIV has anything to do with it.

Classic, up there with the best Romero absurdity's.

p.s - Agreed EIV usually equal rubbish but their LOTRs (TC and EC) DVDs + Goldmember are decent.

EIV are the devils company, most people avoid all their dvds. The packaging alone is more than enuff reason to run away and kill yourself. If you like looking at shit packaging go ahead and buy them all.

The packaging is exactly the same as 90% of other digi-pack box sets. Yes I hear it's not as good as the New Line offering but that doesn't make it shit.

Read what I said I'm mostly in agreement with you. Notice I could only cite two decent examples. I own the UK LOTR ECs as they're fine but otherwise I virtually ignore EIV completely.

Shame the departed is an EIV DVD. I already know I won't be getting the UK DVD for that one.

Departed :( yup another film down the drain for the UK. USA all the way :) Warner I beleve.

Still most normal poeple dont care about packaging, so the UK EIV dvds sell well, even if they go down in price very quick as they just look cheap.

Do you look at packaging or watch DVDs Romero? :?
If I didn't have ROTK I'd buy it for 6 quid - I'm not paying upwards of an extra 12 quid for slightly sturdier packaging 8)

Er obviously I look at the packaging! if you dont your obviously BLIND! if you dont want good looking packaging thats up to you, I like good looking things not fucking ugly child like dvd packaging. I have thousands of dvds, and only a few stand out on my shelves for the WRONG reasons, all the EIV dvds stand out as their spines are sooo ugly.

Hostage wasnt even worth 3 pound, hence why I am selling the piece of shit dvd. Its bile.

Romero has a point 95% of EIV covers are atrocious.

:D

And again Romero contradicts himself.

and no I didnt contradict anything fools, the dvd wasnt for me, and no way was I giving it to my friend with no extras as it was a shit rental! so I have to sell it on.

and ALL 3 extended 4 dvd versions of the LOTR films have been lower than this on cdwow, with proper packaging! £2.99 and 3.99 they were at one time with vouchers! with real solid, perfect packaging from Region 3, identical to the Region 1 versions.

more mythical cd-wow prices from romero-instead of trying and failing to justify your purchase of Hostage maybe when you spot these incredible bargains you could possibly see your way to posting them for the rest of us-you do know what this thread's about don't you

£2.99 LOL classic. Show me proof? I'm not going to search as I strongly believe I'll find shit.

Seriously Romero you do come up with out of this world CD WOW prices. If they're really do exist as Salty says how come you're the only person on "this" forum whoever spots them?

You must know the vast majority of us regularly scower (sp?) the web and particularly CD WOW yet only you spot them.
romerojpg wrote:and no I didnt contradict anything fools, the dvd wasnt for me
Symantecs. You said they weren't worth 15p and a devils company yet you paid £3.
romerojpg wrote:and ALL 3 extended 4 dvd versions of the LOTR films have been lower than this on cdwow, with proper packaging!
Romero there's a difference between broken and proper. The EIV packaging like I said is IDENTICAL to all the other digi-pack releases (so presumably they belong to the devil too?). It's just elsewhere has better.

£5.89 for a 4 disc set is a bargain packaging or not.

I guess everyone here who wants it already has it.
