I've went for Duelist and Machinist.
I'm tempted by BR2 to see the Extended Cut but after seeing the Theatrical Cut twice it still annoys the hell out of me (the second viewing was much better though), the American bashing gets on my nerves for starters.
Is Jarhead any good? Lots of people say it is but many say it's rubbish. It looks dull as dishwater.

Jarhead is worth a cheap price
its not to everyones taste thats for sure, dont go in expecting an action film like some people did
its not, at all in any way. I paid 4 quid for it and thats well worth it, its striking looking and well thought out, if a little strangley farmiliar at times
DEADWOOD season 1 and 2 are cheapo, stunning show, one of the best you will ever see on TV.
The Star Trek 2 dvd editions come up cheap
most are 4 pound or under with voucher combos.
Battlestar Galactica: Complete Season Two is an amazing oprice also! ausie edition works out 10 quid woth vouchers! I wanted the region 1 version for a few extras more, but its 3 times the price even in the best of sales.
Flightplan is 2.99
Quantum Leap seaons are cheapo too
10 quid some of em.

Heres a really insane, strange thing.
I have placed 3 orders so far by using the IGN linkie, it works so I may as well use it before it stops
set up 3 different HOTMAIL accounts so far and put in newly created hotmail adress and details.
But so far after each purchase the confirmation emails are getting sent to my main AOL email account! how on earth is that possible, I just made up new accounts at hotmail for this and joined and got the codes sent to them new email addys!!! yet somehow in gods name they sent the confirmation emails to me at AOL. Insane!!

Thanks. I liked American Beauty and Road to Perdition so I'll give this ago after all.romerojpg wrote:Jarhead is worth a cheap priceits not to everyones taste thats for sure, dont go in expecting an action film like some people did

Thanks. I've read one good review but lots of bad ones. I'm mostly tempted because it's a cheap Korean LE which is stupid so I'll pass.thelostdragon wrote:Well, if you are buying it for the film, don't. If you are buying it from a filmmakers perspective, I'd go for it all the way as it has, as I already said, some of the most stunning visuals in recent cinema.
I was wrong except for The Machinist none of the SALE DVDs can be found via the Search Engine. Maybe more can but that's the only one I can find.bradavon wrote:The prices are not special to that link meaning the usual Voucher Links will still work.
The ING Code of course still works and the DVD Times 50p Voucher Link still works, this is the ONLY time I'm going to be using their stupid voucher mind.

What vouchers are you using? The max. you can get off is £2.50 -
* 50p DVD Forums Voucher Link - Add &affid=15561 to the end and paste into a new window. This doesn't work with the £1 links, which otherwise work fine.
* £2 ING Voucher Code.
I ended up ordering:
* JFK: 2 Disc SE
* Machinist: DTS
* Spring, Summer, Autumn, Winter...And Spring: DTS
* Jarhead - The German 2 Disc LE is on CD WOW for £13.99 before vouchers (much cheaper than the R1 LE was) but when the UK R2 is so cheap I'll pass.
All for £3.49 except The Machinist which was £3.99.

They do but don't on this Sale.Markgway wrote:I can't even get any of the £1 links to work!
They are funny at the moment mind you, it may take 2-3 times to get them working, as always they work better if you copy the link, close your browser completely (ALL windows), reopen it and paste in then go straight to the site.
I'm finding they work better in IE lately, for some reason.
If everyone uses this DVD Times/DVD Forums Link instead of the one in the first post (actually I'll change it now) it will immediately knock 50p off and then you can just add the £1 or £2 Voucher Code if you wish when checking out, much easier:
http://www.cd-wow.com/salefinder_genera ... ffid=15560
p.s - 15560 is DVD Times, 15561 is The DVD Forums, both go to the same geezer and both get you 50p off.

Crash I presume is the 1 Disc older DVD? I'm not bothering to upgrade as the DC adds very little and the new extras look rubbish.
As for Star Trek be careful as some of the Star Trek DVDs in the Sale are the old original bare-bones DVDs.
I already own Star Trek 2 but am tempted by Star Trek 3. AFAIK Star Trek 1, 4 and 5 aren't in the Sale, 6 is but I own that. I'm not interested in the ones after 6 (6 was the last great one).
1. You're using the second in the second post? I've moved them around a bit.
2. And when clicking it and searching you can find the SALE DVDs? As opposed to General Cheap CD WOW DVDs?
It's only worked for The Machinist for me. Can you find Jarhead UK R2 via that link?
I've just checked again and both £1 Links in the second post work fine and knock £1 off BUT none of the DVDs in the actual Sale appear when using it and searching, so if I can't find them I can't buy them (i.e - Jarhead only comes up with the R1 and R3 versions, plus a few others but no UK R2).

To CONFIRM:romerojpg wrote:Nope the 1 pound link works for me! insanelyI am using the 3rd linkie of the 3 in the 2nd posts :(if that makes sense) so in the end I got 3 quid off them all

Which title? I can then see if I can see it.Markgway wrote:I got the £1 link to work for one title I wanted, but had to use 50p for the other.

Nope.Markgway wrote:Strange, but there you go. Since we're not supposed to use multiple discounts I suppose we can't complain... much.

Have you seen The Proposition Eva? Tis excellent.
p.s - Star Trek 4 is only £1 more (£6.99 before vouchers) out of the sale. Star Trek 1 and 5 look to be best at BlahDVD for £5.99 each.
It's still there for £5.99 (page 11) and it's not found for me when using a £1 link.Markgway wrote:The £1 off worked for THE EYE CE and didn't for CIRCUS OF FEAR.
Grrr that's a great price for Star Trek 3. All I could get off is £3.49 or £4.49 if I can't be bothered to use the ING code. The idea of multiple accounts would annoy the hell out of me. £2.99 I'd get it but £4.49 it's too much.romerojpg wrote:Just ordered Star Trek 2 and 3, 2 dvd edtions for 2.99 each
