R3HK Army of Darkness - £6.99 B.D., £3 discount possible.
This is the best release of the Director's Cut, hhas the best remastered transfer around of any cut + best 5.1 remix of any cut.

The disc should have the excellent Sam Raimi, Bruce Campbell and Ivan Raimi commentary track and the alternative S-Mart ending from the US TC.

I bet that Brad will dismiss Army of Darkness without seeing it once he learns what franchise it belongs to. SEE THE FILM BEFORE YOU DISMISS IT.

I know what franchise it belongs to.

I hated Evil Dead 2 but tbh it's not the franchise which will prevent me seeing it it's the fact I own 520 DVDs and about a quarter are unwatched. As you know you can't buy every DVD.

Ohhh I just sold my Toy Story Wooden Box as hell it was ugly

so need to get the dvds again and here they are

Tasty PAL trasfers and both the new 2 dvd editions too, from australia

Both come to £5.99 each at the wow

or £6.99 of you cannot get the IGN thing tio work like me ;(

Munich UK R2 (Confirmed on DVD Forums) is £6.99 before vouchers.

The R1 LE is well OOP (it was £25 anyway) leaving all versions to be equal, just two small featurettes.

Latley cdwow seem to have soo many amazing bargains, problem is I ignore a lot if I own them, thats my problem I ussually only post things I want as I own so many.

Aren't the R1's of Toy Story 1/2 best to get as the films have DTS?

R1 has remastered picture, DTS, more extras.

The R1 (10th AE) DOES have DTS, the R2 (10th AE) DOES NOT, even when the packaging says it does! You're getting confused

Yuo UK and Othger regions get none for some reason (they never explained why!) but hell I dont care for DTS anyway, its not a diffetrence to most people and I am a perfectionist most the time, give me a better transfer anyday.

Nahh PAL is best for my TV, so for me its a better transfer I have owned 3 versions and they all looked pretty much identical, apart from the Ausie PAL was visibly cleaerer because of the extras lines.

Unless they've been remastered I'd get the R1 DTS version (if it had the same extras).

Remastering perfection is almost imposible, you wouldnt be able to tell any difference unless your watching it on a gigantic screen. I watched it on a 37 incher and they looked the same.

I wouldn't call any DVD perfect in the wake of HD DVD & Blu-Ray. I've borrowed a Panasonic DMP-BD10 from work with the only Blu-Ray disc we have (Fantastic Four) and even though it is an MPEG2 (not AVC or VC-1) transfer it is miles ahead of the DVD version.

As for an animated film like Toy Story, the quality will be even better because of the pure digital transfer to disc.

I have been comparing a few Tvs at home latley (and at friends homes and a few in shops), the one I have got for my parents as it stood out well in the house was the Hitachi LD8700 37 inch LCD, not the best on the market, but its pretty solid stuff still for an ok price.

I am waiting for full HD before I dive in

but I haven been testing out TVs latley, very hard to see a difference in a lot of em even when set up perfectly. Still I had a Sony 42 inch Bravia LCD rear screen TV last week, what an appauling TV

it went straight back.

I cannot wait for HD myself as the larger TVs just show too many flaws with current dvds, but again waiting is the way I am going still

I want them now sadly.
