We Want Special Editions!

Post by Keung »

This is a thread for those movies you'd love to see have a Special/Ultimate/Limited Edition.

I'm up for these:

- Beetle Juice
- Crimewave
- K9
- Mad Max
- Mortal Kombat
- Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles

I want:-
The Road Warrior
The Abyss - anamorphic transfers for both TC & Extended cut.
End of Evangelion - a port-over of the Japanese remastered anamorphic Renewal transfer.
Perfect Blue - anamorphic transfer

A Beetlejuice SE is reportedly in the works by Warner BTW.

The R1 SE of Mad Max is probably the best that we're gonna get.

I'll believe it when I see it (Beetlejuice) and I've heard that Mad Max isn't that much of a special edition.

I'd settle for a Fist of Legend SE, with a French DVD player filter (just out of spite) :D

If I were to buy it I'd get the Full-rate DTS R4 Edition. I know you'll agree Eva but the R1 extras look pants and Full-rate DTS baby! (no I'm not calling you baby :D ).

The meatiest extra R1 SE is probably the commentary track, which sounded quite good from what I sampled of it. There's two Bouzereau-esque talking head featurettes, one is a decent half-hour long retropective/making of one. The other is sugary tripe with people gushing over Mel Gibson.
