Fair enough. I happen to disagree but fair enough.[/quote]You also happen to be a leaf-eating hippy, but I won't hold that against you. X-men 1&2 are made of absolute fail. They're travesties which spit upon the original source material. To quote myself "Crap writing, crap acting. Basically they were The Wolverine show guest-starring the X-men. Aside from Wolvy (whose overrated BTW), Xavier and Magneto, everyone else are 2D cardboard cut-outs. A couple hours doesn't justice to source material that has a large ensemble team like X-men has."
bradavon wrote:]Speaking of X-Men, X2 and Superman Returns you're the only person who has noticed any gay undertones AFAIK
I never said that there were gay undertones in Superman Returns. Superman is the ultimate icon of Aryan super-race theory, which is ironic since Superman was created by Jews in order to make more Jew Gold.
I haven't to the best of my knowledge ever eaten leaves
Hippie:
a person, esp. of the late 1960s, who rejected established institutions and values and sought spontaneity, direct personal relations expressing love, and expanded consciousness, often expressed externally in the wearing of casual, folksy clothing and of beads, headbands, used garments, etc.
Nope not a Hippie either.
A couple hours doesn't justice to source material that has a large ensemble team like X-men has.
That would become unwatchable.
Agreed Wolverine is overrated but bad writing? X-Men and X-Men 3 agreed could've had a better script but X2 has a fantastic script and very well written. The depth for what is a super hero film is up there with the best (Superman and Superman 2).
The Koreans are getting a 3-disc LE on Nov 11th, for $21.99 USD (reasonable price for an LE I guess). I suspect that the 3rd disc will be the "Bryan Singer Production Diaries" disc that's exclusive to the R1 14-discer boxset. http://www.dvdfromkorea.com/shop/p_deta ... rch&genre=
Are you interested Brad, or is it too rich for your blood?
I don't know yet you've not quoted an accurate price , it's $33.54 to the UK (I presume NZ too). Which makes it cheaper at Yes Asia for $26.99/£14.40.
Meaning it's twice the price of the HK R3. I'm tempted but doubt I'd watch the extra extras and at £14 it's too much, my blood isn't that rich . If it were £12 I'd go for it.
What I will do however is e-mail CD WOW to see if they'll get it in, they'll make it a better price (usually).
According to Yes Asia and DVDFromKorea the Korean versions are also getting "Deleted Scenes (without Return to Krypton)" but no "3D rendering of Marlon Brando’s face for the Fortress of Solitude scene".
It's not the production diaries, according to that DVDFromKorea it's "Look Up In The Sky: The Amazing Story of Superman" which a review of can be found here:
DVDactive updated their news article with captures of each deleted scene a few days ago. The quality of said scenes looks very good, if they look like that on the final DVD (and are anamorphic) then someone could probably make a seamless fan edit (not that I care though, this movie was poo).
My R3 SE arrived on Friday. I'm waiting until I've got Supes and Supes 2 SE's first though. The LE comic book is nice. Actually it's more of a book in English by Dorling Kinglsey of all people, it's full of facts.
I did get an e-mail from CD WOW today saying my order has been delayed though

It's the South East Asian DVD for want of a better phrase. It has a Thai DD5.1 dub but also Chinese subs. It's the R3 sold at CD WOW, which now has a LE comic book included.
