Mordib needs to fix this. The date/time is taken from the central server. Your PC (from Windows 95 upwards) will have changed by itself.

I can't see an option for BST in the admin options.

Has Mordib given you the access rights? or do you mean you've changed it just for your login?

I thought of changing that but changed my mind as that's more of a work around than a fix, besides that is meant for the continent. In the admin control panel there is a general one; on second thoughts I'll push it forward an hour until it's fixed. Maybe this is the option???

p.s - Grim it will mean you need to put yours back.

EDIT: Forget that I just tried changing the general time zone by +1 hour and it made no difference whatsoever!

no, nothing wrong, im just saying i dont have an option that i can tick to switch of daylight saving because whatever I set a the overall forum time it ignores that and shows the time for each individual depending on what they have set in their profile :)

But surely GMT +1 isn't meant for daylight saving it's meant for people living on the continent?

Because after all to change it to GMT +1 should mean it's 18:51 in the UK instead of 17:51.

Mordib, I believe they're right; basically, the forum time format isn't flagged to Daylight Saving Time. I just verified that using PHP's "I" time function in my profile time options returns 0. It should return 1 when DST is on. Take a looky here: http://pt.php.net/date .

Now why does the time say "GMT plus 1 hour"? It should be normal GMT, no? :?

phpBB doesn't support daylight savings time. Meaning that if you are a pricker to have the times on posts appear correctly you'll have to go in your profile and select the GMT+X setting twice a year.

Personally I leave it at GMT+1 year round, and it's never bothered me... if the server's timeclock follows DTS and is set at UTC (GMT) it should perhaps fix itself... it's a "flaw" in phpBB that really doesn't bother me much...

Edit: and my times are correct now :D
So long, and thanks for all the fish!

Because back in March you set it to GMT+1 silly :D

p.s - More to the point isn't daylight saving a left over from the dark ages? Many countries don't bother.
