Wyatt Earp or Tombstone?

Post by Markgway »

In 1994 two films went head-to-head on the same subject.

This is your chance to vote on which you think is best.

I went for Tombstone.

Ha-Ha! Only two people here have seen both films and the other one is anonymous.

Why do you think one is anonymous? TBH I can barely remember either.

I'd vote for Tombstone but only because that one I remember a wee bit more of, oh and Costner is a very mixed bag.

Well, I voted Tombstone, but I don't know who the other person who did is.

I kinda assumed as both these movies have been out for over 12 years more people would've seen them.

Guess not?

I'd vote for neither and nominate John Ford's My Darling Clementine.

I own both on Video and have seen them, but really they cannot be "great" films as I barley remember a thing about either of them, not anything to be honest.

Not bad films if I remember, but I think I liked Wyatt Earp a lot more than Tombstone, which was a disapointment if I remember. Seems like an iceage since I watched them,

I vote for Tombstone, Great Cast, Kurt Russell, Bill Paxton, Val Kilmer..

The movie just flows greatly, while Wyatt Earp was just toooo long

I thought Kurt Russell was superb in a commanding performance. The gunfights are exciting and the movie takes all the interesting parts of Wyatt Earp and tells the story better with an hour to spare. Some of the dialogue is quotable too. "You tell 'em I'm comin'... and hell's comin' with me!"
