Why not? You must really struggle at times. Get a Debit Card if you're that worried about a credit card.

You can get standard Visa Debit cards which aren't Electron or anything so to the shop etc . . . it is a credit card. I have one.

No the mods didn't bother to read the whole thread and assumed I'd not posted the T&Cs. I did and thankfully later on in the day it was removed.

They don't normally remove Black Marks. I have another one for almost as unfair reason which they refused to remove.

Hell no. I'm presuming you don't want a "credit" card right? In the UK anyway you have other options such as:

Switch
Solo
Electron

All plain debit cards but may not work abroad so I got a Visa Debit card, it looks identical to my Visa Credit Card but isn't. Ask your bank. It's attached to my current account.

Mine still haven't arrived and I don't even know if they've really shipped as e-mail support just keeps giving me general responses like "international orders should ship this week". Which really tell me anything concrete.

It's bollocks. They really should employee more staff if after over 6 weeks later they've still not shipped all orders.

No matter how many they had that should be plenty of time. The sale was only on for a few days (imagine if CD WOW had a similar sale, they'd cope!)

Yep and it says Dispatched weeks ago :shock: but I'm not convinced it's accurate. I heard of some who have had theirs but it still says "processing" online.

I've e-mailed asking if they can LMK if it has shipped but only ever get a bollocks general reply, nothing specific.

If it had shipped when my account says it did (I can't be sure as there is no date and you don't get a despatch e-mail) I should've received it by now. Leading me to believe it's been lost BUT seeing as Madman don't seem to know when specific orders shipped or aren't telling me and are just saying "all international orders will ship by this week".

I'll be well pissed off it has been lost and I waste all this time before Madman finally agree and send new ones.

"As orders for the sale were sent out in bulk despatch, I cannot give you an exact timeframe. I can confirm that it was sent - at the absolute latest - by the end of last week. The vast majority of orders were sent before that time and will arrive within the corresponding timeframe.

This is all fine assuming it's not been lost in the post and I waste all this time. I find it suspect they can't check. Maybe they can't but they definitely should be able too.

I think 60days is the cut off that you have to wait until they're officially declared lost in the post. Customs getting old of your order would only hold it up by about 7days at the most, but you only ordered 3 films anyway, so should be under the limit.

Yipeey my DVDs arrived today. I'm not sure I believe they're originally shipped when they say they did but at least I have them now:

Sympathy for Mr. Vengeance - Best English friendly version this side of the Tartan box set (which doesn't interest me).
Bangkok Dangerous - Easily the best English friendly version.
Twilight Samurai - Best English friendly version (Japanese/Korean aren't English friendly which may look better I don't know) with Full-rate DTS + some minor extras.

All are Native-PAL.

About fucking time they got them to you. By best English friendly version I assume you're talking about the extras? Coz the r2j of Twilight Samurai has Eng subs, not so sure about the r3k. TBH no release of Twilight Samurai has a stellar transfer.

Think there's a general delay on some overseas orders at the moment. november 3rd & november 6th shipped packages from dvdpacific only arrived last saturday.

As far as I understand it "English Friendly" means it needs English subtitled extras + English subtitled film. "English Subs" by default means the film.

I've heard the same. TBH I just wanted a decent transfer and hate paying for extras I can't watch. I'd rather not have them.

Considering that IMO the Korean and Japanese DVDs are expensive. I'd only want Disc 1 out of those two.

I hear Bangkok Dangerous R4 has a decent Native-Pal transfer (from Eva whose seen it), and Twilight Samurai/Sympathy for Mr. Vengeance should have too.

Bangkok Dangerous doesn't have any competition anyway and Sympathy for Mr. Vengeance, the only decent single disc version is the R4.
